    Abstract: The intended object of the present invention is to provide a more widely applicable means of diagnosing familial hyperlipemia with certainty. It has been found that this object can be attained by providing a method of detecting abnormality of lipid metabolism, wherein risk factors concerning abnormalities of lipid metabolism are detected on the basis of the correlation of 65 specific types of LDL receptor gene mutations with the abnormalities of lipid metabolism, as well as a method of detecting disease(s) by detecting risk factors for arteriosclerosis and/or ischemic heart diseases by employing as indices the abnormalities of lipid metabolism thus detected.

    Abstract: A bellows-type pressure responsive valve comprising bellows 66 of a closed structure as a pressure sensing element adapted to vary an opening amount of the valve by transmitting expansions and contractions of the bellows 66 to a valve body 61 by means of a valve rod 65 which is supported on a valve housing 51 so as to move in a valve lifting direction, characterized in that the bellows 66 and the valve rod 65 are spherically connected by means of a spherical coupling structure which is incorporated at a connecting portion of the bellows 66 and the valve rod 65 and composed of a ball 77 which is rotatably disposed coaxially with the valve rod 65, and a spherical recess 78 which is formed at a closed end face 67a of a bellows body 67 of the bellows 66 at a central position thereof. With this structure, centripetal motions of the bellows and the valve rod are automatically effected by means of the spherical coupling between the bellows and the valve rod.

    Abstract: An electromagnetic control valve is provided. The control stability of the electromagnetic control valve is improved because: (1) one end of the guide pin is forced into and then secured in a hole formed in the center of the coil guide so that the plunger moves in the center of the suction portion; (2) one end of the connecting rod is forced into and then secured in a hole formed in the center of the plunger, and a guide portion for guiding the connecting rod is provided in the center of the upper main body; or (3) the connecting rod is forced into and then secured in a hole formed in the center of the plunger, and a first guide portion for guiding the connecting rod is provided at the lower end of the coil guide and/or a second guide portion for guiding the connecting rod is provided at the lower end of the upper main body.

    Abstract: A electromagnetic control valve which is capable of controlling with small electromagnetic force is provided. In such electromagnetic control valve, a pressure-sensitivity control mechanism is provided in a space leading to the suction side of the compressor such that the pressure-sensitivity control mechanism faces to the crankcase pressure introducing opening of the valve main body. This pressure-sensitivity control mechanism is formed by a piston which comes into contact with the bottom surface of the valve rod. The differential pressure between the crankcase pressure and the suction pressure of the compressor is detected by the piston. Upon receipt of detection signals from a temperature sensor and a pressure sensor and an external signal, the pressure-sensitivity control mechanism adjusts the flow of refrigerant from the discharge side (high-pressure side) to the crankcase side of the compressor. Thus, the differential pressure can be controlled.

    Abstract: This invention provides an expansion valve combined with a solenoid valve which prevents a water hammer phenomenon from occurring when a refrigerant passage is opened and closed by the solenoid valve. Refrigerant passages (P1, P2) are formed in a valve body (1) between a primary port (1a) and a secondary port (1b). The solenoid valve (V) attached to the valve body (1) opens and closes the refrigerant passages (P1, P2) in their intermediate portion. An expansion valve disk (6)--which is moved by the action of a diaphragm (8) that defines an outer pressure chamber (R2) communicating to a temperature sensing cylinder (E) and an inner pressure chamber (R1)--is brought into and out of engagement with a valve seat (S1) formed on the primary port (1a) side of the refrigerant passage (P1). The secondary port (1b) side and the inner pressure chamber (R1) are communicated via an inner pressure equalizing hole (15) formed in the valve body (1).

    Abstract: A refrigerating cycle composed of a compressor, a condenser, a pressure differential valve, a throttle, an evaporator and a check valve. The check valve is connected back to the compressor. The above mentioned pressure differential valve is divided into a valve section and a control section. The control section is further divided into two chambers by a diaphragm. Two pressure introducing tubes are connected to the pipe on the respective sides of the check valve. During operation of the refrigerating system, low pressure prevails on both side of the check valve. However, stoppage of the rotary compressor causes a high pressure refrigerant leak on the suction side thereof with the result that the high pressure refrigerant is introduced into the one of the chambers of the control section while the other pressure introducing tube on the other side of the check valve provides low pressure communication with the other chamber.

    Abstract: A pressure differential valve connected to a refrigerating circuit piping which, when a refrigerating cycle stops, blocks the high pressure coolant from diffusing into the low pressure section. Said pressure differential valve comprises a valve body having a first inlet, a first outlet, a second inlet and a second outlet; a valve disk installed in a valve chamber between the first inlet and the first outlet to open or close the passage between the first inlet and outlet, the valve disk being urged to open by a spring; a diaphragm installed between the second inlet and the second outlet to form pressure chambers; and a check valve secured to the diaphragm and communicating to both of the pressure chambers; whereby when the check valve is closed, the diaphragm causes, through a connecting rod, the valve disk to close. Said valve disk has radially projecting guide vanes attached to the axially extending portion of the seat-contacting disk to form spaces through which coolant can flow.

    Abstract: A device for removably holding a display plate with a pay-out table or like thereon at the front of a game machine body is disclosed. A transversally disposed lower plate retainer has a longitudinal groove, in which the lower end of the display plate is inserted, and notches extending from the front surface of the lower plate retainer to the groove. Hands can be inserted into the notches to grasp the lower edge of the display plate. A top bent portion of a cover plate is inserted in the groove of the lower plate retainer adjacent to the lower edge of the display plate. The cover plate covers the lower plate retainer and has a portion held urged by part of a front door.
