Patent number: 8453994Abstract: The invention relates to an engagement chain type driving device including a pair of driving sprockets, which rotate positively and reversely in opposite directions about a pair of rotating shafts, a pair of engagement chains, which engage with each other by the pair of driving sprockets so to be integrated together, and a driving source, which drives the pair of driving sprockets, wherein the engagement chain includes inner tooth plates and outer tooth plates, which each include buckling limiting flat surfaces, the inner tooth plates and outer tooth plates being brought opposite to each other and into contact with each other when the engagement chains are integrated by the pair of driving sprockets, such that the flat surfaces hold the chain engagement position.Type: GrantFiled: September 8, 2009Date of Patent: June 4, 2013Assignee: Tsubakimoto Chain Co.Inventors: Tomoo Suko, Kohei Nakanishi, Tomoyuki Saji, Yoshifumi Takeuchi, Satoshi Ueda, Naoto Shibata

Patent number: 8328670Abstract: An engagement chain in which a buckling strength of a pair of engagement chains engaged with each other is improved without blocking engagement operations between inner tooth plates and between outer tooth plate. The chain includes inner tooth plates, bushes, outer tooth plates and connecting pins. Buckling limiting flat surfaces of adjoining plates are brought into surface contact with each other when opposing segments of the chain are integrated together by driving sockets.Type: GrantFiled: July 23, 2009Date of Patent: December 11, 2012Assignee: Tsubakimoto Chain Co.Inventors: Tomoo Suko, Kohei Nakanishi, Tomoyuki Saji

Patent number: 8057340Abstract: A chain has a resin member integrally molded on an inner circumferential surface of a bushing with a strong joining force between the resin member and an inner circumferential surface of the bushing. The chain has an inner link in which both end portions of a pair of front and rear bushings are press-fitted into bushing holes of a pair of right and left inner plates, and an outer link in which both end portions of a pair of front and rear pins are press-fitted into pin holes of a pair of right and left outer plates. The inner and outer links are alternately connected to each other in a longitudinal direction of the chain. The inner circumferential edge portions 112a of both end portions of the bushing 112 are chamfered, and the bushing is lined with the resin member 115 insert-molded on an inner circumferential surface of the bushing 112 to produce flared ends, and a central portion of the lined bushing 112 between the ends thereof becomes thicker.Type: GrantFiled: March 17, 2009Date of Patent: November 15, 2011Assignee: Tsubakimoto Chain Co.Inventors: Tomoo Suko, Katsuya Enomoto

Patent number: 6244426Abstract: A speed-increasing and accumulating conveyor chain includes a large-diameter mounting roller and small-diameter traveling rollers that are loosely fitted concentrically around a connecting pin through over an oil-impregnated sintered oil bushing concentrically. A lubricating oil is gradually discharged from the oil-impregnated sintered bushing, so that the chain can travel with a small chain-driving force as a whole while stably maintaining low friction coefficients at the loosely fitted portions between the connecting pin, the bushing, the mounting roller and the traveling rollers. The chain can, therefore, perform the speed-increasing function and the accumulating function by means of the mounting roller and the traveling rollers.Type: GrantFiled: March 26, 1999Date of Patent: June 12, 2001Assignee: Tsubakimoto Chain Co.Inventors: Tetsuya Murano, Seiji Kitagawa, Tomoo Suko

Patent number: 5344001Abstract: A conveyor chain having a large diameter load-carrying roller and a small diameter running roller coaxially mounted on a connecting pin which alternately connects an inner link plate with an outer link plate, a cover mounted on said link plate of a configuration to cover a gap between adjacent load-carrying rollers and a gap between adjacent running rollers preventing entrance of foreign matter. Included are chain covers covering sideways the inner and outer link plates and travelling rollers of the conveyor chain, and gap covers for preventing entrance of foreign substances which covers the gap between adjacent loading rollers and also covers the gap between adjacent travelling rollers. The gap covers have a projection portion in a position between adjacent loading rollers having a surface which is lower than an outside diameter of the loading rollers and higher than lower surfaces of the chain covers.Type: GrantFiled: February 25, 1993Date of Patent: September 6, 1994Assignee: Tsubakimoto Chain Co.Inventors: Yuichi Kawaai, Katsutoshi Shibayama, Tetsuya Murano, Susumu Hamaguchi, Tomoo Suko
