  • Patent number: 4229089
Abstract: An automatic focusing device for an automatic focusing camera of the double image coincidence focusing type. A coupling mechanism causes an focus detecting movable mirror perform scanning motion according as the stroke of shutter releasing operation. Interlocking with the push-down of the shutter release button, focus detecting motion is performed while the distance from the focal plane to the photographing objective is indicated and/or memorized.During the first half of shutter releasing operation, focus detection and indication and/or memorization of the distance from the focal plane to the photographing objective are performed by the scanning motion of the movable mirror, and during the latter half of the shutter releasing operation, the indication and/or the lense focusing mechanism are controlled by a signal motion corresponding to the memorized value.

  • Patent number: 4211480
Abstract: An electromagnetic shutter controlling device releases the shutter to start exposure when the device is energized and completes exposure when the device is deenergized. The electromagnetic shutter controlling device is constituted of a shutter blade for opening and closing the shutter aperture, a first driving spring for closing or releasing the shutter blade, an electrical delay circuit for controlling exposure time, an electromagnetic device including an armature attracted by the magnetic force of the electromagnetic device and being connected to the electrical delay circuit, a second driving spring which is strained by the attraction of the armature so as to release or close the shutter blade when it is released, and a retaining member for keeping the shutter blade at the aperture closing position until it is actuated to release the shutter blade by the attraction of the armature.

  • Patent number: 4112444
Abstract: A camera with a photoflash circuit for performing the preparatory operation of charging a main capacitor with high voltage produced by an electrical oscillation circuit and flash operation in synchronization with a shutter exposure operation for the taking of a photograph, a data recorder circuit for recording data such as the date on film under electrical control, both circuits being operated with a single battery, characterized in that when both the photoflash and the data recorder circuits are operated, the terminal voltage of the battery is kept unchanged by interrupting the preparatory operation of the photoflash circuit with an operating signal from the data recorder during its recording operation for recording such data on the film with a proper exposure.
