  • Patent number: 4860652
Abstract: A mesh roller for planography. Its external surface is formed with a protruded surface and a plurality of fine cells for storing ink. The surface is made of or covered with a combination of a high hard material and a lipophilic metal material. According to the first aspect, the center area of its protruded surface is composed of or covered with a lipophilic metal material and the border edge between the protruded surface and the cells is composed of or covered with a high hard material. According to the second aspect, the protruded surface is composed of or covered with a mixture of a high hard material and a lipophilic metal material which are finely mixed each other. This mesh roller can be provided with a superior wear resistance against a high pressed scraping motion of a doctor blade and a high ability of ink reservation by preventing a lipophilic metal material from water soiling.

  • Patent number: 4803634
Abstract: A production process control system for a news printing system using rotary presses comprising a press control subsystem, a sorting and delivery control subsystem, at least any one of a printing plate transportation control subsystem, a newsprint roll storage control subsystem, a mailroom materials supply control supply control subsystem and a truck yard bundle sorting control subsystem, and a production process control system for supervising and controlling each of said control subsystems. The stations provided in the production process control system and the control subsystems are linked with each other via a ring-like data highway network. Each of the stations are equipped with a processor or an intelligent input/output control unit, so that each of the production process control systems and the control subsystems can execute necessary data processing while communicating with each other.

  • Patent number: 4760857
Abstract: A washing device is capable of carrying out washing work in a roller part of a machine unit automatically, continuously, concentrically and uniformly. The washing device employs a washing solvent storage tank, and a used washing solvent storage tank,. The device transfers washing solvent in a washing solvent storage tank to a machine unit with a roller to be washed, supplies washing solvent to the roller to be washed set at the end point of the transfer means, a used washing solvent collecting means collects used washing solvent from the proper position of a roller to be washed, and discharges collected used washing solvent to a used washing solvent storage tank.

  • Patent number: 4651641
Abstract: The known offset rotary press of the type that at least a pair of printing cylinders consisting of a plate cylinder and a blanket cylinder are disposed in juxtaposition adjacent to each other, and that the adjacent plate and blanket cylinders are rotated at the same revolution speed in the opposite directions to each other through gears having the same pitch circle diameter and the same number of teeth, is improved in that in the case where one of the pair of printing cylinders having a slightly larger finished cylinder diameter than that of another printing cylinder is positioned upstream on the side of power transmission with respect to the printing cylinder having the smaller finished cylinder diameter, an intermediate gear connected to a drive source is rotatably mounted on a cylinder shaft of the printing cylinder having the larger finished cylinder diameter on which a first gear is fixedly mounted also, and in that the intermediate gear and the first gear are respectively meshed with a second gear fixed
