  • Patent number: 11724545
Abstract: A tire having a tread comprising at least two radially superposed portions which comprise a radially external portion being made of a first rubber composition (FC), and a radially internal portion being made of a second rubber composition (SC); the tread comprising a plurality of tread pattern elements (1) delimited by cut-outs (3, 4); the tread pattern elements (1) respectively comprising at least one lateral face (13, 14, 15, 16) and a contact surface (2) intended to come into contact with the ground during rolling; the external portion of the tread pattern elements (1) being at least partially covered on at least one of the lateral face(s) (13, 14, 15, 16) with a layer of a third rubber composition (TC).

  • Publication number: 20220410636
Abstract: Present invention provides a tread for a tire being provided with a plurality of grooves extending in an orientation having a non-zero angle A with circumferential orientation, at least two circumferentially adjacent grooves delimiting a contact element, the contact element having at least one incision extending in an orientation substantially parallel to the grooves, the contact element being delimited into sub-contact elements, on a plane perpendicular to the orientation in which the plurality of grooves being extending and to the contact face, each sub-contact elements having a length Ls between the plurality of grooves and the at least one incision or between two incisions, an outermost portion of each the sub-contact element having a radius Rs smaller than a radius Rt of an outline OL of the tread at an intersection between the outline OL and the outermost portion, the radius Rs of the outermost portion of the sub-contact elements is smaller than or equal to 16.0 mm and greater than or equal to 5.0 mm.

  • Patent number: 11084329
Abstract: The tread is provided with a plurality of grooves and/or a plurality of incisions. The tread also has rubber layers laminated in a radial orientation. One rubber layer has a cap rubber layer and a base rubber layer. A modulus G* of the rubber composition constituting the base rubber layer is no more than 2 MPa at ?10° C. with imposed shear stress of 0.25 MPa and is at least 0.7 MPa at 40° C. with imposed shear stress of 0.70 MPa. A modulus G* of the rubber composition constituting the cap rubber layer is at least 1 MPa higher than the modulus G* of the the base rubber layer at ?10° C. with imposed shear stress of 0.25 MPa and is less than the modulus G* of the rubber composition at 40° C. with imposed shear stress of 0.70 MPa.

  • Publication number: 20200361243
Abstract: The tire is provided with a plurality of grooves and a plurality of contact elements, each the contact elements having an incision density DLN when the tread being new and an incision density DLU when the tread being worn to a predetermined remaining tread depth, the incision density DLN being greater than or equal to the incision density DLU at the predetermined remaining tread depth, and the incision density DLN being greater than the incision density DLU at a level of a tread wear indicator, the tread comprising at least two rubber layers laminated in radial orientation, the rubber layers comprising a cap rubber layer and a base rubber layer provided radially inward of the cap rubber layer, a rubber composition constituting the base rubber layer comprises solid particles, and the cap rubber layer is devoid of said solid particles.
