  • Patent number: 7237442
Abstract: A seat weight measuring device reduces the temperature difference generated between the resistances of measuring gauges, even when a sudden ambient temperature change occurs. Heat due to ambient temperature is transferred through a column. As a washer interposed between a sensor plate and a nut and a washer interposed between the sensor plate and the column are composed of a material having low heat conductivity and providing electrical insulation, the heat transferred through the column is prevented from being transferred to the sensor plate by the washers. Accordingly, even when the ambient temperature changes suddenly, the temperature difference between the resistances of the strain gauges is reduced. Moreover, the washers provide electrical insulation between the sensor plate and the column.

  • Patent number: 7061389
Abstract: A seat weighing device wherein a load transmitting member for transmitting the seat load to a load sensor is formed without extremely high precision required, thereby enabling simple manufacturing of the load transmitting member. The seat weighing device includes a base having an arm for transmitting the seat load to a load sensor. The arm does not include a V-shaped portion, but includes only a single action portion. The single action portion is mounted to a sensor plate for mounting the load sensor so as to transmit the seat weight from the single action portion to the sensor plate. The arm includes only the single action portion, thereby suppressing irregularities in transmission of the load.

  • Patent number: 7016804
Abstract: A seat weighing device which is not readily affected by the heat, as well as maintaining stable sensitivity of a load sensor. Four deformation resistors are disposed on a sensor plate with the same distance from the center of a fastening member. Furthermore, four openings are formed at positions near the fixing positions (mounting positions) for the two deformation resistors on the sensor plate. The formation of these openings, reduces the cross-sectional area at positions where the openings have been formed on the sensor plate, and thus, the sensor plate readily flexes (deforms) at a position around the fixing positions for the deformation resistors. This enables the deformation resistors, to measure the load in a sure manner.

  • Publication number: 20040262050
Abstract: A seat weighing system which can easily be assembled and in which the entire system including a base can be made low profile. A seat weighing system includes a base. The base is constructed of two load transmission bases and a load sensor base, which are separated from each other. The height of the load sensor base is set smaller than those of the load transmission bases. The load transmission bases include therein an arm for transmitting a seat weight to a load sensor; the load sensor base includes therein the load sensor. The separating structure of the base facilitates the assembly. Setting the load sensor base lower than the load transmission bases allows the entire system including the base to be made low profile.
