  • Patent number: 8675897
Abstract: It is an object of the invention to provide a headset for performing simultaneous two-way communication or alternate two-way communication, which has excellent sound insulating properties such that external noise is not possibly mixed even when used under high noise conditions. A pair of bowl-shaped housings 1 each having an annular pad 2 attached to the rim of an opening portion are connected together through a headband 3, an acoustic speaker 5 supported by a buffer material 4 is arranged in at least one of the housings 1, and a bone conduction microphone 6 supported by the buffer material 4 such that the distal end is brought into abutment against the ear or the portion around the ear when a user wears the headset is arranged in at least one of the housings 1.

  • Patent number: 7076077
Abstract: An object of the invention resides in the provision of a bone conduction headset, which is inconspicuous in appearance during wearing thereof, adapted for use in avoiding absorbing nearby people's attention to the headset thus worn, easy to wear and take off in use, and comprises: a band running around a back part of the user's head; a fastening portion formed in each of opposite end portions of the band; a bone conduction speaker provided with a knob which is engaged with the fastening portion; and, an ear engagement portion, which runs over the bone conduction speaker during wearing of the headset to reach and engage with the user's ear. An extension of either the fastening portion in the band or a casing of the bone conduction speaker may be formed into the ear engagement portion.

  • Patent number: 6999732
Abstract: A transceiver adapted for mounting upon straps of a gas mask or a helmet is smaller in size and weight, and therefore excellent in fittingness, which makes handling of the transceiver less cumbersome even when a user wears the gas mask or the helmet. The transceiver enables a user to communicate with his or her communication partner even when the user does his or her own work. In construction, the transceiver (1) has a rotatable casing (2). The casing (2) receives therein a bone conduction speaker portion (3) and a bone conduction microphone (4), and is pivoted to a supporting member (5). The supporting member (5) is provided with engaging means (7 and 8), which engage with straps (11 and 12), respectively.

  • Patent number: 6950682
Abstract: A low-cost transceiver capable of being connected with a telephone or a radio set is thin and small in size, excellent in easiness in use, stable in mounting condition, and is therefore suited for those who are active in the outdoor work, sports or the like. When a wearer of the transceiver is sweated and/or exposed to dust, a sweat- or dust-damaged component of the transceiver is replaced with a new one. The transceiver comprises: a bone conduction speaker (2); a throat microphone (3); a soft tape-like carrier (1) for supporting both the supporting the speaker (2) and the microphone (3); and, adhesive means (6) for adhesively fixing the carrier (1) to the temporal area covering the ear and the larynx of the wearer.
