Patent number: 12060939Abstract: A control apparatus for a vehicle that is provided with an electric parking device for causing a parking pawl to be meshed with a parking gear so as to lock rotation of a wheel of the vehicle. When a parking range is selected, a parking control is executed for moving the parking pawl to a parking position in which the parking pawl is meshed with the parking gear. When the parking control is to be executed, it is determined whether or not the electric parking device is in a ratcheting state in which the parking pawl is repelled by the parking gear without the parking pawl being meshed with the parking gear. When it is determined that the electric parking device is in the ratcheting state, the parking control is stopped to move the parking pawl to a non-parking position.Type: GrantFiled: June 20, 2023Date of Patent: August 13, 2024Assignee: TOYOTA JIDOSHA KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventors: Nozomi Aoyama, Tomoya Nagano, Hideki Amano, Yuki Matsuno

Publication number: 20230382240Abstract: A control apparatus for a vehicle that includes an electric motor and a parking lock mechanism for stopping rotation in a power transmission path between the electric motor and drive wheels. The parking lock mechanism includes: a parking gear, a lock tooth that is to mesh with the parking gear and an actuator for moving the lock tooth. When a shift operation position is switched to a parking position, the lock tooth is moved by the actuator to mesh with the parking gear. When the shift operation position is switched from the parking position to another position in a state in which the vehicle is stopped, the electric motor outputs a torque acting in a rotational direction opposite to a direction of rotation of the drive wheels due to a gradient of a road surface, and the outputted torque is increased until rotation of the electric motor is detected.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 19, 2023Publication date: November 30, 2023Applicant: Toyota Jidosha Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Yuji Yamaya, Tomoya Nagano

Patent number: 11652438Abstract: Parameters relating to rotation of a motor (2) measured every constant time are acquired and the moving average of each constant interval of the parameters is calculated. The calculated moving averages are input to a training model trained so as to output a temperature of magnets attached to a rotor (7) of the motor (2) when the moving averages of the parameters relating to rotation of the motor (2) are input, and an estimated value of the magnet temperature output from the model is acquired. Next, the acquired estimated value of the magnet temperature is output.Type: GrantFiled: March 2, 2022Date of Patent: May 16, 2023Assignee: TOYOTA JIDOSHA KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventor: Tomoya Nagano

Patent number: 10899336Abstract: In a control system for an internal combustion engine which stops the rotation of an internal combustion engine by applying a counter torque thereto, the generation of noise or vibration accompanying the stop of rotation of the internal combustion engine is suppressed as much as possible. In the control system provided with a controller being adapted to stop the rotation of the internal combustion engine by carrying out forced stop processing in which the counter torque is inputted, in cases where the forced stop processing is carried out after the completion of the execution of specific motoring processing, the controller makes the counter torque at a certain timing before the counter torque becomes a predetermined torque after the start of the execution of the forced stop processing smaller than in the case where the forced stop processing is carried out without carrying out the specific motoring processing.Type: GrantFiled: November 14, 2018Date of Patent: January 26, 2021Assignee: Toyota Jidosha Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Tomoya Nagano, Koji Miwa, Kazuya Suzuki
