  • Patent number: 9625973
Abstract: An electronic device capable of shortening display start time when a user approaches while reducing power consumption. A detection unit detects a distance between a display unit and an object. A control unit changes a mode of the display unit according to the detected distance among a display mode, and first and second power saving modes. The second power saving mode is larger than the first power saving mode in power consumption. The second power saving mode is shorter than the first power saving mode in shifting time to the display mode. The control unit sets the display unit to the display mode when the object is closer than a first distance, to the second power saving mode when the object is further than the first distance and closer than a second distance, and to the first power saving mode when the object is further than the second distance.

  • Publication number: 20170090659
Abstract: A display apparatus including a flexible display device includes a touch detection unit that detects a touch operation to the display device, a bending detection unit that detects a bending state of the display device, and a control unit that controls an operation according to a touch operation depending on the detected bending state, where the control unit differentiates the operation according to the touch operation between a case where a portion of the display device, which is less than a predetermined bending amount, is a greater than a predetermined threshold area and a case where the portion that is less than the predetermined bending amount is less than the predetermined area.

  • Publication number: 20160309139
Abstract: An imaging system for capturing images of the same object using a plurality of image capturing apparatuses that can communicate with each other is provided. At least one image capturing apparatus of the image capturing apparatuses transmits information of a distance to an in-focus position, or a captured image including the in-focus position, to another image capturing apparatus among the image capturing apparatuses, and each of the image capturing apparatuses determines each depth of field using the information of the distance to the in-focus position, or the captured image including the in-focus position.

  • Patent number: 8937674
Abstract: An electronic apparatus capable of reducing a time lag between an operation on an operation section and notification of acceptance of the operation. An audio codec section and a speaker perform notification indicating reception of the operation according to the operation performed on the operation section. A PLL circuit supplies the audio codec section and the speaker with a clock signal for causing the audio codec section and the speaker to operate. A system controller detects an approach of a finger for operating the operation section, to the operation section. Further, the system controller starts the PLL circuit or increases a clock frequency supplied from the PLL circuit, when the system controller detects that the distance between the finger and the operation section has become equal to or smaller than a first distance.

  • Patent number: 8654236
Abstract: An imaging apparatus selects and extracts a longest straight line from a captured image, and superimposes the straight line on the captured image to display it by a display device. An orientation detection unit including an acceleration sensor detects a roll angle. An X axis indicating a roll angle 0° and a Y axis indicating a roll angle 90° of the acceleration sensor are superimposed on the captured image, and an original point of the X and Y axes is matched with a center value of the extracted straight line to be displayed by the display device. A user rotates, by a predetermined operation, the image until the X and Y axes match the gradient of the extracted straight line. Thus, a system control unit corrects a roll angle output value of the orientation detection unit by an amount equal to a corrected rotational angle.
