Publication number: 20160165312Abstract: According to one embodiment, an electronic device includes a receiver, a transmitter, a management module, and an informing module. The receiver receives a purchase instruction from a user. The transmitter transmits the received purchase instruction to a server via a network. The management module manages a purchase history of the user. The informing module determines, upon receiving the purchase instruction from the user, whether the received purchase instruction satisfies a predetermined condition based on a purchase history of a predetermined period, and sends a message to the user if the purchase instruction satisfies the predetermined condition.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 10, 2016Publication date: June 9, 2016Inventors: Kenji Ochiai, Kenji Yamazato, Hiroshi Ueda, Tomoyuki Shirai, Hirofumi Kanai, Tomohide Kawano

Publication number: 20150357081Abstract: Solved is the following problem in terms of outer appearance: a covered electric wire obtained by extrusion of a low cost linear polyethylene resin (LLDPE) has irregularities formed on the surface thereof because processing suitability of LLDPE is poor. As a solution to the problem, a resin composition including 50 to 97 parts by weight of LLDPE and 3 to 50 parts by weight of a polypropylene (PP) based resin can be used to thereby produce a covered electric wire excellent in surface smoothness at a high speed and a low cost.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 9, 2014Publication date: December 10, 2015Applicant: FURUKAWA ELECTRIC CO.,LTD.Inventors: Koichi MIZUNO, Hiroki CHIBA, Tomoyuki SHIRAI

Patent number: 7105717Abstract: To provide a rat model with the onset of prostate cancer in which the prostate cancer including an invasive cancer can be developed and can be bred for generations stably. A rat model with the onset of prostate cancer which can develop prostate cancer including invasive cancer and can be bred for generations stably is established by: ligating an SV40 large T antigen gene onto the downstream of rat probasin gene promoter; the resulting PBSVT transgene is introduced into a fertilized egg of a Sprague-Dawley rat; after the introduction, the fertilized egg is transplanted into a recipient rat; a transgenic rat obtained from the recipient rat is then mated with a wild-type Sprague-Dawley rat; the transgenic offspring rats thus obtained are similarly can be bred for generations thereafter; and transgenic rats developing prostate cancer are selected through histopathological observation of the prostate.Type: GrantFiled: June 13, 2000Date of Patent: September 12, 2006Assignee: Japan Science and Technology AgencyInventors: Tomoyuki Shirai, Makoto Asamoto, Satoru Takahashi

Publication number: 20050044578Abstract: In order to make it possible to detect a carcinogen highly sensitively and more easily in a short time, the present invention provides a rat having a high sensitivity to a carcinogen, and a method for detecting carcinogens using the rat, and a method for screening anticancer substances using the rat made to develop a cancer. It has been found that a rat whose normal function in gap junction is inhibited has a high sensitivity to a carcinogen. For the inhibition of normal function in gap junction, part of a connexin gene is made to be deficient and a plasmid vector engineered to carry a gene deficient in connexin function is introduced into a rat to make a transgenic rat. By using the rat of the present invention, it becomes possible to detect a carcinogen highly sensitively and more easily in a short time, and the rat of the present invention made to develop a cancer can be effectively used for the screening of anticancer substances.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 23, 2004Publication date: February 24, 2005Inventors: Tomoyuki Shirai, Makoto Asamoto, Naomi Hokaiwado

Patent number: 5365060Abstract: A relative velocity sensing device for sensing an optical beam spot, for example, by using a tracking error difference signal that fluctuates as a sine-wave in accordance with a movement of the beam spot. The tracking error difference signal is converted into a first sawtooth wave signal, and a second sawtooth wave signal, having a phase which is offset from the first sawtooth wave signal by one half of the period thereof. A first differential signal is obtained in accordance with the first sawtooth wave signal, and a second differential signal is obtained in accordance with the second sawtooth wave signal. The level of a tracking error sum signal is shifted to obtain a level-shifted signal, so that a polarity signal is obtained. The first differential signal is selected when the polarity signal is positive, and the second differential signal is selected when the polarity signal is negative and, thus, a velocity signal showing the velocity of the beam spot with a high accuracy may be obtained.Type: GrantFiled: March 29, 1993Date of Patent: November 15, 1994Assignee: Asahi Kogaku Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Tomoyuki Shirai
