    Abstract: A method of inspecting a workpiece for a processing machine includes the steps of placing a workpiece on a worktable, moving a spindle located above the worktable to allow a laser sensor mounted with the spindle to be close to the workpiece, measuring a distance between the laser sensor and the workpiece by a laser beam emitted from the laser sensor on the work piece, and gathering data of the workpiece, such as size, shape or location, by moving the spindle to enable the laser beam to pass through the periphery of the workpiece.

    Abstract: An electromagnetic pick-and-place device for use with a processing apparatus is provided. The electromagnetic pick-and-place device essentially includes a fixing base, a fixing axle penetratingly disposed at the fixing base, and an electric magnet disposed at the fixing axle, which move together in operation so as to be positioned right above a workpiece. Then, the workpiece is gripped by suction with electromagnetic pick-and-place device under a magnetic force generated from the electric magnet. Afterward, the electromagnetic pick-and-place device and the workpiece move together to a processing position. Eventually, the magnetic force of the electric magnet is disabled in order to free the workpiece; at this point in time, the processing apparatus can start processing the workpiece.

    Abstract: An electric discharge machining device comprises a base, a support column, an oil bath, a work platform, a draining pipe, and a linear actuator. The base has an oil storage compartment. The oil bath has a receiving space and a drainage hole through which the support column is put. The draining pipe is fitted over the support column such that one end of the draining pipe is connected with the drainage hole and that other end of the draining pipe is in communication with the oil storage compartment. The oil bath is actuated to slide up and down between an upper position and a lower position. When the oil bath is located at the upper position, the bath is filled with the process oil. When the oil bath is located at the lower position, the process oil is drained out of the oil bath into the oil storage compartment of the base.

    Abstract: A discharge processing machine includes a base, a work platform, a machine head seat, a fixation seat, and a main shaft seat. The work platform is slidably mounted on the base. The machine head seat is mounted on one side of the base and is provided with a fixation arm, which is fastened at one end thereof with the fixation seat. The main shaft seat is slidably mounted on the fixation seat such that the main shaft seat slides along the direction of the normal line of the work platform. The fixation seat has a threaded hole, whereas the main shaft seat has a threaded rod which is driven by a servomotor to engage with various depths of the threaded hole of the fixation seat, so as to actuate the main shaft seat to displace along the direction of the normal line of the work platform.

    Abstract: An electric discharge machine is intended to effect a finishing surface on the circumferential surface of a cylindrical workpiece such that the finishing surface is parallel to the circumferential surface of the cylindrical workpiece. The machine is composed of a platform base, a work platform, a main shaft seat, and a workpiece holding device. The work platform is slidably mounted on the platform base such that the work platform slides horizontally in relation to the platform base. The main shaft seat is slidably mounted on the platform base such that the main shaft seat slides along the direction of a normal line of the work platform, and that the main shaft seat is fastened at one end thereof with a discharge finishing electrode facing the work platform. The workpiece holding device is mounted on the work platform for holding the cylindrical workpiece. When the work platform is driven to slide horizontally in relation to the platform base, the cylindrical workpiece is rotated.
