  • Publication number: 20120260853
Abstract: A discontinuous capillary coating device is disclosed. At least one capillary tube is filled with a coating material. At least one flexible member is disposed in the capillary tube and is immersed in the coating material. The flexible member extends to the exterior of the capillary tube, guiding and outputting the coating material. At least one coating substrate receives a liquid coating film from the coating material via the flexible member. At least one capillary tube holder holds the capillary tube, guiding movement of the capillary tube. At least one traversing mechanism drives the capillary tube holder or coating substrate to move.

  • Publication number: 20020145067
Abstract: A flat tape dispenser of a continuous length of pressure-sensitive-adhesive (PSA) tape is wound around a flat panel core producing a more compact, more convenient and easier to carry PSA tape dispenser. The tape utilizes an easy-tear feature. The flat tape dispenser is manufactured by winding the PSA tape on a round shaft of Teflon or a shaft covered by a release liner or release coating. The fully wound PSA tape is removed from the shaft, a flat panel core is inserted and the roll is flattened so the inside seals against the core. Alternatively, the PSA tape is wound on a deformable core and then flattened to its final shape.

  • Publication number: 20020076552
Abstract: The present invention is a self-wound thermal transferable over-laminating (OL) tape, preferably for receiving a thermal transfer image from a thermal transfer ink ribbon and preferably using pressure-sensitive-adhesive (PSA). The preferred embodiment of the OL PSA tape comprises a layer of plastic film with two opposing sides. The first opposing side of the plastic film contacts a printable release coating comprising clear polyamide-carbamate receptive to wax-type, resin-type and wax-resin hybrid thermal transfer inks. The second opposing side of the plastic film contacts a pressure-sensitive-adhesive. The pressure sensitive adhesive is, preferably, acrylic adhesive.
