  • Publication number: 20130091647
Abstract: An easy, efficient, and self-feeding steam mop is provided. With its special design, it is economical and practical to be competitive. There are three sections inside this mop—water feeding, heating, and steaming. The check valve installed on the water feeding tube can be used not only to shut off the water flowing into the boiler when not in use so that the wooden floor or the fabric carpet will not be harmed, but also its unique baffle plate can be used to minimize the backpressure from the boiler and keeps the steam serving flow rate sufficient and continuous with no additional supplement, such as a water or an air pump. And the closed type mop head encompasses the steam not to escape. The bulged, flexible ribs keeps the fabric pad touched on the floor thoroughly, so that the temperature is high and stable and the cleaning effect is good.

  • Publication number: 20120328271
Abstract: This is a unique design for a steam generator. The heating zone is not only equipped with two sections, vaporizing and steaming, to upgrade the efficiency, but also can be used as a bumper to minimize the back pressure from compressing chamber. The compressing zone is used to compress the vaporizing steam with the pressure for designated service in a restricted room. The inlet is placed at the bottom whereas the outlet at the top. This keeps the water feeding continuous and no water overflowing when the steam generator is not in use. The temperature controller set beside the inlet is used for temperature control as well as the safety protection. The fuse set behind the temperature controller is used to provide the user a more reliable consideration.

  • Patent number: 8248024
Abstract: Systems and methodologies for efficient inductive charging of electronic devices are provided herein. A charging device as described herein can utilize a sensor-integrated resonating circuit with automatic frequency control to provide low-cost inductive charging functionality for electronic devices. As further described herein, a device to be charged can be equipped with a power receiver operable to receive power from the charging device via electromagnetic induction. The power receiver can additionally be utilized for initiation of charging such that charging for a device commences upon its associated power receiver being brought within range of an inductive charging surface at the charging device. Further, a charging device as described herein can have an inductive charging surface as well as a non-charging surface for providing other services such as information display. A charging device can integrate with an external information source to obtain items to be displayed at a non-charging surface thereon.

  • Patent number: 7090802
Abstract: A sampling assembly for simultaneously testing a liquid biological sample for a plurality of hormones and method thereof are described. A sampling membrane includes a dry porous carrier having a proximal end narrower than a distal end and forming a unidirectional liquid flow channel. The distal end includes a plurality of tines arranged and separated by substantially regular spacing. Each tine defines a dye zone including a dye-tagged antigen-specific antibody at a distal end. The sampling membrane further defines a set of focusing recesses along each side of the unidirectional flow channel end and a set of dispersal recesses between and adjacent to each tine. A plurality of test strips each include a dry porous carrier communicatively attached to the distal end of one such tine. Each test strip forms a unidirectional liquid flow channel and includes a testing zone comprising an antigen-specific antibody located distally from the dye zone.

  • Publication number: 20040072230
Abstract: The present invention identifies mutations in the human sorbin and SH3-domain-containing-1 (SORBS1) gene, particularly at one or more of positions 220; 249; −7 with respect to exon 5; −25 with respect to exon 6; 682; +64 with respect to exon 9; +61 with respect to exon 10; +69 with respect to exon 11; +33 with respect to exon 16; 1482; 1518; −6 with respect to exon 22; +79 with respect to exon 24; and 2337. A polymorphism at position 682 within exon 7, the T228A allele, correlates with the phenotypes of low blood pressure and low body mass index, and is a protective marker for obesity, diabetes, and hypertension. The invention also relates to methods and materials for detecting single nucleotide polymorphisms in the SORBS1 gene and to the use of SORBS1 polymorphisms in the diagnosis, screening, and treatment of type 2 diabetes, obesity, hypertension, atherosclerosis, and metabolic syndrome.
