A blocking member is in engagement with the blocking element under the force of a pre-stressing spring such that the blocking element is blocked by the blocking member when the first stops strike and can continue to latch in relation to the blocking member under the force of the brake piston when the second stops strike.

    Abstract: A brake application device for a disk brake system includes an arm-shaped reference element for detecting any deformation caused to the brake application device when braking. The novel brake application device allows braking torque to be determined with a comparatively small degree of expenditure and in a simple manner. Adjacent to the flexible zone a braking torque sensor having an arm-shaped reference element and a sensor element which is shifted by the bending are provided. The latter controls the set value to a first output set value. A switch-over device connects an output of the set-value control device to a input of a set-value/force conversion device in a first switching position. In a second switching position, the set-value/force conversion device receives the signal from a fall-back unit. Braking devices convert an actual value of the force into an actual value of the decelerating force or decelerating torque. When impermissible deviations from a fast braking set value in a fast-braking operation are found, the switch-over device switches from the first to the second switching position.

The supporting cylinder communicates with a brake cylinder through hydraulic lines. This allows an improved adjustment of deceleration or braking. For this purpose, a regulating device adjusts the brake force depending on a predetermined theoretical value.
