  • Patent number: 7389340
Abstract: A network administration system for triggering commands in response to receipt of error logs, comprising a user interface for programming execution sets of commands in association with predetermined error logs, and means for receiving error logs and for each of the predetermined ones of the error logs triggering execution of the commands in the execution sets.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 11, 2001
Date of Patent: June 17, 2008
    Assignee: Mitel Networks Corporation
    Inventors: Tonis Kasvand, Thomas Gray
  • Patent number: 7177896
Abstract: A network administration system for automatically activating and deactivating dynamic rule sets in response to receipt of error logs from network devices and applications, comprising a user interface for manually activating and deactivating rule sets having defined rule set criteria and for associating rule set activation keys with the rule sets, wherein said activation keys associate changes in status of the dynamic rule sets, and a program for receiving the error logs and for each of the rule sets in connection with which activation keys have been associated and whose criteria have been satisfied by the error logs, reading the activation keys and one of either activating or deactivating the dynamic rule sets in accordance with the associated changes in status.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 11, 2001
Date of Patent: February 13, 2007
    Assignee: Mitel Networks Corporation
    Inventors: Tonis Kasvand, Thomas Gray
  • Patent number: 6816576
Abstract: A method of generating a tree hierarchy display of error logs received from network devices and applications, each of the logs including a brief description of error cause and predetermined higher level ones of the logs being created in response to generation of predetermined combinations of lower level ones of the logs in accordance with user defined rule set criteria. The method comprises the steps of generating a user interface for entering explanations associated with predetermined ones of the error logs, storing the lower level ones of the logs used in meeting the rule set criteria, and displaying a tree hierarchy of the logs for any fully satisfied rule set criteria by attaching links between the logs in relation to the rule set criteria.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 11, 2001
Date of Patent: November 9, 2004
    Assignee: Mitel Knowledge Corporation
Inventors: Tonis Kasvand, Thomas Gray, Brian Mooy, Dennis Fortin, Audil Virk, Tyler Elliot, Rebecca Jones
  • Patent number: 6785367
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system for automatically identifying enunciation of telephone numbers and email addresses in voice mail messages for presentation to a user via either voice or text, without the user being required to replay the message. Furthermore, according to the invention the extracted telephone number or email addresses may be forwarded to an application for further processing (e.g. to dial the extracted number, add the email address and/or telephone number to a contacts database, etc.) The user may specify text strings to be searched (other than telephone numbers and email addresses). Thus, a user can specify certain words such as “extension”, “email”, etc., in order to qualify the extracted number or email address information, or words such as “urgently” or “immediately” to identify important voice mail messages.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 18, 2002
Date of Patent: August 31, 2004
    Assignee: Mitel Knowledge Corporation
    Inventors: Steve Horvath, Tonis Kasvand
  • Publication number: 20030163300
Abstract: A method of translating a message for an intended recipient. The method includes the steps of handling at least one call to receive a message in a first language, recognizing the first language of the message, translating the message from the first language to a second message in a second language and handling the second message such that the second message is available to the intended recipient.

  • Publication number: 20030048880
Abstract: A system is provided that automates the process of pre-screening calls by reliably identifying callers and directing calls according to user preferences related to specific callers. The automated system answers an incoming call, communicates with the caller, identifies the caller through their unique voice pattern, and redirects the call according to associated policies and/or feature specifications set by the receiver.

  • Publication number: 20030009514
Abstract: A network administration system for an ad-hoc or ‘sporatic’ network where all logs are received and sent through a MILog agent at each network device. The MILog agents route and filter logs accordingly to instructions received via Mobile Interactive Logs (MILogs), and further provide other services such as creating MILogs. A user is able to create and dispatch a MILog at any time to any MILog-compliant component from a MILog agent authorized to create MILogs.
