  • Publication number: 20100018150
Abstract: A concrete block for construction, the block having a front wall and a rear wall. The front and rear walls are spaced apart by a pair of transverse webs. Each of the front and rear walls comprises a middle portion and a pair of end portions, wherein the end portions have a uniform thickness that is greater than the thickness of the middle portion.

  • Patent number: 7183978
Abstract: A compact antenna includes a disk-type radiating element normal to a ground plane section. Each face of the radiating element may have a third-dimensional characteristic (e.g., a convex outer surface.) Dielectric material may be positioned on the ground plane forward of each face of the radiating element. In other configurations, the third-dimensional characteristic and dielectric material features may be used separately in antennas arranged to provide omnidirectional performance over a wide frequency bandwidth. An input/output port may be provided by a coaxial-type connector coupled to the radiating element.

  • Publication number: 20060059839
Abstract: A construction block includes rectangular front and rear panels and at least one web connecting the front and rear panels. Each of the front and rear panels has top, bottom, and right and left edge surfaces. At least one web having top and bottom surfaces co-extensive with the top and bottom of the front and rear panels is provided to define top and bottom surfaces of the block. The top surface of the block has a shallow rectangular ridge along its length, flanked by outer support surfaces. The lower surface of the block has a shallow rectangular channel along its length, flanked by flat outer feet corresponding to the outer support surfaces. The right and left edge surfaces of the front and rear panels are profiled to interfit with one another.

  • Patent number: 6425844
Abstract: There is described a knee exercising device comprising a foot support and a pair of wheels attached to the heel of the foot support, wherein the wheels allow the wearer to exercise their knee while sitting or lying down simply by raising their foot and rolling it forward and backward. There is further provided a detachable cord means which enables a user to use their arms to aid the motion of the knee, particularly when the muscle strength of a leg is insufficient for this purpose.
