    Abstract: The invention described herein allows for the automated solicitation, collection and tabulation, of donations by a machine. The machine solicits the donations, accepts money in the form of paper and coin currency, or credit card or debit card, validates the currency deposited, and keeps a running total of the money deposited, and thanks the donor for the donation. The computerized solicitation machine may also be connected by a communication channel, such as a modem and telephone line or wireless phone, to a computer at a central location so that the donations may be monitored and tallied from a remote location.
