Patent number: 11729601Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a method and system for routing communications. A plurality of communications-enabled devices are coupled to a communications network. Each communications-enabled device has a device identifier. A user-programmable database associates each of a plurality of user identifiers with a device identifier. A router circuit is coupled to the communications network through a portal communication device having a portal identifier. A user designates a destination user identifier when making a communication. The router circuit switches the call, directing the call to a destination device identifier responsive to the user-programmable database association between the destination user identifier and a device identifier. According to certain aspects, communications are directed to users and are routed to associated equipment, a user identifier serving as a virtual extension number.Type: GrantFiled: December 15, 2020Date of Patent: August 15, 2023Assignee: 8x8, Inc.Inventors: Jean Vincent, Tony Chan, Jean-Francois Catz

Patent number: 11454705Abstract: A system and method characterizes the height of targets in an environment around a vehicle. Signals are transmitted into the environment and return signals are received to determine a track corresponding to a target. For each track, bins are generated, each bin corresponding to a segment of the range, the segments having a gradually increasing size between the minimum range and maximum range. Range and magnitude values of the received return signals are determined for a selected track. A plurality of filled bins are determined, filled bins indicating that a return signal within the selected track has a range value falling within the segment corresponding to said bin. When the number of filled bins exceeds a set threshold, the return signals having range values within the segments corresponding to the filled bins are analyzed to characterize a height of the target.Type: GrantFiled: November 22, 2019Date of Patent: September 27, 2022Assignee: Veoneer US, LLCInventors: Reza Mardani, Florian Trompeter, Tony Chan, Eric Stark Willmann, Eduardo Martony, Etty J. Patent number: 10248973Abstract: Approaches for collaborative advertising bidding comprise receiving, from an ad exchange, a bid request for an advertisement space for a viewing user. The approaches further comprise retrieving logged data associated with the viewing user, the logged data corresponding to the viewing user's online exposure to web content including at least one of commercial webpages, online representations of services or products having purchase information, and advertisements. A first advertiser and a second advertiser who have entered into an advertising collaborating relationship to respond to bid requests are identified. A determination is made as to whether a portion of the retrieved logged data for the viewing user is associated with the first advertiser or with the second advertiser. Additionally, based on the determining, one of the first advertiser and the second advertiser is selected to submit a bid for the advertisement space in response to the bid request.Type: GrantFiled: March 13, 2015Date of Patent: April 2, 2019Assignee: Marin Software IncorporatedInventors: Jordan Buller, Bradford Flora, Francois Lagier, Andrew Bissell, Tony Chan
