    Abstract: A system and method characterizes the height of targets in an environment around a vehicle. Signals are transmitted into the environment and return signals are received to determine a track corresponding to a target. For each track, bins are generated, each bin corresponding to a segment of the range, the segments having a gradually increasing size between the minimum range and maximum range. Range and magnitude values of the received return signals are determined for a selected track. A plurality of filled bins are determined, filled bins indicating that a return signal within the selected track has a range value falling within the segment corresponding to said bin. When the number of filled bins exceeds a set threshold, the return signals having range values within the segments corresponding to the filled bins are analyzed to characterize a height of the target.

A determination is made as to whether a portion of the retrieved logged data for the viewing user is associated with the first advertiser or with the second advertiser. Additionally, based on the determining, one of the first advertiser and the second advertiser is selected to submit a bid for the advertisement space in response to the bid request.

The method includes applying a source voltage (charging) or ground voltage (discharging) to a specific group of bit lines, testing the bit lines in two testing stages (open-circuit testing and short-circuit testing) by the principle that no damaged bit line can be charged or discharged, and acquiring an address data of a damaged bit line according to a status data stored in a page buffering circuit and related to whether a bit line is damaged, thereby dispensing with a calculation process for estimating the address of the damaged bit line.

A secondary verification metadata attribute may optionally be specified to ensure the correct security principal is reconnected to the user's cloud based resources. The correlation between the original security principal for the user and the new security principal may be used to reconnect the user's cloud resources.

The interval of the beacon includes a reserved region including a persistent allocation region and a non-persistent allocation region. The beacon also includes a broadcast message including a persistent schedule and a non-persistent schedule. The persistent schedule is valid for a current beacon period and a number of subsequent beacon periods as indicated by the beacon, while the non-persistent schedule is valid for a single beacon period. The persistent allocation region and the non-persistent allocation region are determined based on the persistent schedule and the non-persistent schedule, respectively.
