  • Publication number: 20180087384
Abstract: The stiffness of a rotor part is varied over its circumference to allow damper rings to effectively work in high speed applications. Circumferentially spaced-apart pockets may be defined in the rotor to create discontinuous strain to increase the force required to lock the damper ring in the groove above the centrifugal force of the ring when the rotor is rotating.

  • Patent number: 9659306
Abstract: Marketing program data associated with a social group-based marketing program offered by a merchant is obtained. Access to social group identification data identifying two or more socially connected consumers and their respective financial data is obtained and analyzed to identify two or more spending and socially connected consumers. Two or more marketing program eligible spending and socially connected consumers who meet defined marketing program eligibility criteria are then identified and registered with the marketing program. Spending data associated with the registered spending and socially connected consumers is then monitored and when the spending data associated with the registered spending and socially connected consumers indicates the marketing program requirements of the social group-based marketing program have been met, the registered spending and socially connected consumers are provided the benefits of the social group-based marketing program.

  • Publication number: 20170060330
Abstract: An apparatus comprises touch screen interface and signal processing circuit. Within touch screen interface, there are switching circuits configured to be coupled to at least one of a plurality of column electrodes, and there are touch detection circuits configured to be coupled to at least one of a plurality of row electrodes. The signal processing circuit is coupled to each switching circuit and each touch detection circuit so as to be able to selectively activate the plurality of switching circuits and touch detection circuits to identify a zone for a touch event. The signal processing circuit determines first, second, third, and fourth resistances for the zone for the touch event and determines a set of coordinates and pressure for the touch event from its first, second, third, and fourth resistances wherein an aperture filter register is in a host interface that also stores the first digital representation.

  • Publication number: 20170038052
Abstract: An LED light fixture which includes apertures which provide for venting of the LED light fixture, but where the LED light fixture is configured to prevent insects from entering the apertures. Specifically, a screen may cover one or more apertures, and one or more other apertures may be provided as being conically-shaped. The conical shaped provides that insects are effectively prevented from entering, and also provides that a venturi effect is provided by the air flow. The pressure drops as the air travels through the conically-shaped aperture, but the speed at which the air travels increases, thereby providing for enhanced venting of the LED light fixture and providing for the increased blowing of insects away.

  • Patent number: 9395698
Abstract: A time to digital converter includes a mutual exclusion element and a sampling component. The mutual exclusion element is configured to receive a first clock and a second clock and to generate a first pulse and a second pulse. The mutual exclusion element is configured to drive the first pulse to a first logic state and the second pulse to a second logic state upon the first clock being earlier than the second clock and drive the second pulse to the first logic state and the first pulse to the second logic state upon the second clock being earlier than the first clock. The sampling component is configured to receive the first pulse and the second pulse and to generate a decision signal according to the first pulse and the second pulse.

  • Publication number: 20140098528
Abstract: An LED retrofit lamp which has one end which is configured to engage a standard light bulb socket, such as an E26 or E39 socket. The other end provides a plurality of LED's—a center section of LED's pointing downward, and a plurality of LED's going around a perimeter of the center section, generally pointing outward. Preferably, the LED retrofit lamp 10 includes circuitry which is configured to take the voltage received from the light bulb socket, and use that voltage to drive the LED's as well as, preferably, a fan which tends to keep the LED retrofit lamp within prescribed temperature tolerances. Preferably, a protective shield, such as a plastic protective shield, covers and protects the LED's. Furthermore, preferably the LED retrofit lamp includes louvers which allow the fan inside to grab air from the outside, and allows the hot air to escape. Preferably, the LED retrofit lamp is generally lightweight.

  • Publication number: 20100210420
Abstract: An exercise system comprises a main body, at least one force-applied portion, a physiological information sensing device, a processing unit, and a transmission module. The at least one force-applied portion, on which a user can apply force, is connected to the main body. The physiological information sensing device comprises at least one flexible pressure sensing module and a heartbeat sensing unit. The at least one flexible pressure sensing module is connected to the at least one force-applied portion respectively. When the force applied by the user is input to the at least one force-applied portion, the at least one flexible pressure sensing module can produce pressure sensing information. The heartbeat sensing unit can measure heartbeat information. The processing unit is electrically connected to the physiological information sensing device. The processing unit manipulates the pressure sensing information and the heartbeat information and then produces output information.
