In one embodiment, the apparatus includes: (1) a main body having a rotational surface with a plurality of position holders and (2) an end cap releasably couplable to the main body and configured to rotate in a single direction, with respect to the rotational surface, based on the position holders.

Abstract: The invention relates to a handheld surgical power saw intended to be an integrated surgical tool or an attachment to a motorized surgical tool. The tool consists of two arms that reciprocate in opposite directions at all times. Attached to each arm is a set of cam followers and a saw blade. The arms are driven by a cam with outer surfaces that smoothly undulate between the two sets of cam followers.

A swivel member is connected in fluid communication between the motor and the conduit. The swivel member comprises a motor portion including a motor face inclined at a selected angle from the motor axis, and a conduit portion including a conduit face arranged oppositely that of the motor face and formed to engage matingly with the motor face. A connection shaft extends from one of the motor face and the conduit face and is engaged rotatably with a connection receptacle formed in another of the motor face and the conduit face.
