  • Patent number: 11386579
Abstract: Disclosed is a context-aware real-time spatial intelligence provision system that estimates the locations of persons or things captured in a video by extracting objects representative of the persons and the things from the video captured by viewing a real space and placing the extracted objects in a virtual space to which a digital twin technique is applied. The disclosed context-aware real-time spatial intelligence provision system allows people to keep the distance between each other indoors, thereby preventing the spread of an infectious disease such as COVID-19.

  • Publication number: 20210369399
Abstract: A device is disclosed for use by clinicians in medical and dental procedures to contain aerosols generated by patients with known or suspected respiratory pathogen (e.g., a virus such as COVID-19). The device of the invention (a negative pressure aerosol containment unit) may be in the form of a box with an opening at the bottom, the box configured to receive an attached HEPA filter and HVAC unit that creates a localized negative pressure area within the box. The device also may be in a non-rectilinear configuration.

  • Patent number: 10175349
Abstract: A multi-modal omnidirectional sensor includes an ovaloid aperture having a plurality of tapered square prismatic cells formed from a plurality of partition walls. A focal ovaloid is concentric with the ovaloid aperture, and the focal ovaloid has an outer surface dimension that coincides with a focal distance of the ovaloid aperture. A multi-mode sensor array is disposed on the focal ovaloid, and is configured to receive an optical signal and a radio frequency (RF) signal. One of the plurality of partition walls comprises a non-metalic dielectric mirror. One of the plurality of partition walls is configured to be reflective to a band of desired wavelengths of the optical signal while being transparent to the RF signal.

  • Patent number: 9527608
Abstract: A method of reducing densities of harmful charged radiation belt particles is includes providing a space-based antenna having a first antenna portion and second antenna portion. The first antenna portion and the second antenna portion are oriented such that their loop planes are perpendicular with respect to the magnetic field of the Earth. The first antenna portion and the second antenna portion are energized with a first frequency and a second frequency, respectively, wherein the first frequency and the second frequency satisfy the relationship that the ratio of the first frequency to the second frequency is equal to the ratio of the second radius to the first radius. The trajectory of energetic particles in the radiation belt, such that the trajectories of energetic particles are shifted into a loss cone.
