  • Publication number: 20050169347
Abstract: A portable infrared temperature sensor is provided, which is able to prevent from electromagnetic and electrostatic interferences, and also the after effect of ambient temperature changes, so as to produce accurate temperature measurement. The portable temperature sensor includes a core module, a cylindrical body, a shielding layer and a battery unit, where the shielding layer includes a collar ring, which wraps around one end of the core module to prevent outside interferences with the sensor reception, and a non-conductive mould, which covers the circuit board in the core module. The core module includes a circuit board on which an IR detector, an output unit, and a switch mechanism are installed. The portable design makes the infrared temperature sensor convenient for carrying around and easy to use for a wide range of applications.

  • Publication number: 20050138768
Abstract: A caster includes first and second antifriction bearings which respectively have first and second outer race members disposed over and underneath a bearing seat of a fork frame, respectively. The first and second outer race members respectively have first and second smaller rivet holes aligned with a larger rivet hole in the bearing seat along a swivel axis to form a combined rivet hole. A swivel shaft is inserted into the combined rivet hole to form an annular space for receiving a tubular bracing member that is sleeved on the shaft. A point of the shaft is riveted to fasten the second outer race member. The impact force during riveting is transmitted to the head primarily through the bracing member.

  • Patent number: 6195902
Abstract: A laser extender is provided for accurately elongating a reference line. The laser extender includes a housing, a battery set, and a laser unit. The housing has an external basic flat plane for resting upon a flat surface and having a straight edge that is adapted to be aligned with a reference line, an internal accommodating space, and a plurality of through holes for accessing the internal accommodating space from the exterior of the housing. The battery set is provided inside the internal accommodating space. The laser unit, utilizing power provided by the battery set, is located inside the internal accommodating space for generating a spanning plane laser beam perpendicular to the basic flat plane of the housing and for extending the reference line defined by the straight edge. In addition, the laser extender can engage a beam leveler for enhancing the leveling ability of the laser extender.

  • Patent number: 6188469
Abstract: An apparatus for measuring the speed of an object includes a first laser source for emitting a first laser plane at an intended path, and a second laser source for emitting a second laser plane at the intended path, with the second laser source positioned from the first laser source at a known distance. The apparatus further includes a detector system positioned to receive a first laser light and a second laser light that have been reflected from the first laser plane and the second laser plane, respectively, upon reflection of the first and second laser planes off the object. The detector system generates a first pulse signal and a second pulse signal, respectively, in response to the receipt of the first and second laser lights, respectively. The apparatus also includes a signal processing circuit coupled to the detector system for calculating the speed of an object passing through the intended path based on the first and second pulse signals generated by the detector system.

  • Patent number: 6163969
Abstract: A 3D laser leveler is provided for accurately locating distant parallel or extension lines. The 3D laser leveler has a base block and a rotator. The base block provides a base plane for resting upon a flat surface when in use, a first leveling unit for examining the leveling status of the base plane, and a pivot mechanism. The rotator is rotatably connected to the base block and rotatable around the pivot mechanism, and includes a housing for providing an internal accommodating space, a battery set and a laser unit received inside the accommodating space. The laser unit uses power provided by the battery set for generating a spanning plane laser beam that can be utilized to locate a spatial extension or a perpendicular line. In addition, a joining bracket can be included separately to connect the 3D laser leveler and a conventional beam leveler.
