  • Publication number: 20210086467
Abstract: A corrugated sheet processing apparatus is disclosed, comprising feed and guide rollers for selecting, moving and supporting sheets or webs to a corrugator for forming a corrugated sheet; and a control system for controlling the sheet processing equipment or a cutter; the sheet processing apparatus further comprising a visual inspection unit for reading printed information markers on at least one printed sheet or web as the printed sheet or web pass through the corrugated sheet processing apparatus, or corrugator; and wherein the control system further has a data look-up table whereby the apparatus can identify what products will be produced downstream of the visual inspection unit, and the required settings for the sheet processing equipment or corrugator for those products.

  • Publication number: 20180345619
Abstract: There is provided a corrugated sheet processing apparatus (120) comprising: sheet processing equipment comprising at least feed and guide rollers for selecting, moving and supporting sheets or webs to a corrugator (136) for forming a corrugated sheet from which corrugated products (146) can be cut, at least one layer of the corrugated sheet, and thus products, being formed from a printed sheet or web; and a control system for controlling the sheet processing equipment (136) or a cutter (148); the sheet processing apparatus (136) further comprising a visual inspection unit (162) arranged for reading printed information markers provided on at least one printed sheet or web as the printed sheet or web, and thus the printed information markers to be read, pass through the corrugated sheet processing apparatus (136), or corrugator, past the visual inspection unit (162); and wherein the control system further has a data look-up table comprising either a) for the products, at least information associated with the fo

  • Patent number: 6454475
Abstract: A paper cutter assembly for a printer/plotter is mounted on the printhead carriage for movement therewith to avoid separate mounting and guide structure. A cutter wheel is mounted in a housing for cam induced movement between a raised inactive position and a lower active position by engagement of a cam element carrier mounted for movement in the cutter housing with structure on the printer chassis. The printer platen has a stationary cutter bar which extends in a channel in the platen transversely of the path of paper movement and has a cutter wheel receiving well at one end of the channel into which the cutter wheel drops without contacting the platen or cutter bar at commencement of a cutting operation. Camming surfaces on the platen engage the side of a cutter drive wheel to move the cutter wheel into engagement with the cutter bar and then to raise the cutter wheel to the proper amount of operational overlap of the cutting edges as the cutter assembly moves across the paper path.
