  • Patent number: 11034298
Abstract: A method and system identifies an unobservable region using a surround view system of a vehicle. The vehicle has a trailer attached thereto. The surround view system includes cameras to provide a view of an area surrounding the vehicle, an ECU receives image data from the cameras, and a display. A legacy observable image of the area obtained from the cameras as the vehicle passes through the area is stored in the ECU. A model representing a geometry of the trailer is created. Live images of the area, while the vehicle is reversing the trailer in the area, are obtained by the cameras. The trailer defines an obstruction in the area that occludes camera views defining an unobservable region. Based on the legacy observable image, the geometry of the trailer, and the live images, the unobservable region in the area is calculated and displayed on the display.

  • Publication number: 20210163232
Abstract: Provided are a method and apparatus for effectively facilitating, via a dynamic display system, a passenger's collection of checked-in bags from carousels of a baggage claim area. The dynamic display system may include: a memory storing instructions; one or more displays; and at least one processor configured to execute the instructions to: obtain the baggage information corresponding to baggage of a passenger, and control to display, in real time during travel of the corresponding baggage along a baggage carousel, the obtained bag information to move, on a screen of the one or more displays, in synchronization with the corresponding baggage along the baggage carousel.

  • Publication number: 20200148110
Abstract: A driver assistance system for a vehicle includes a rear-view camera constructed and arranged to obtain an image of an area behind a rear of the vehicle. A non-camera sensor system is constructed and arranged to obtain data regarding dynamic or static environmental features at opposing sides of the vehicle. An electronic control unit is electrically connected with the rear-view camera and with the sensor system. The electronic control unit is constructed and arranged to create an image from the data received from the sensor system. A display system is controlled by the electronic control unit and is constructed and arranged to display simultaneously to a driver of the vehicle at a single location, the image obtained by the rear-view camera and the image created by the electronic control system.
