  • Patent number: 12254611
Abstract: Items are identified in a waste stream for purposes of recycling, using deterministic and/or probabilistic techniques. Imagery of the waste stream from multiple viewpoints permit creation of a 3D depth draped image representation, from which one or more 2D planes can be synthesized. Phase-coherent patches of recoverable encoded data can be identified from among soiled and crumpled object surfaces, and used in combination to recover object identification information. Recognition of certain items can trigger further image processing that is specific to such items. (Detection of a catsup bottle, for example, can trigger image analysis to discern the presence of catsup residue.) Information about recognized objects can be provided to external data customers, e.g., to track grey market diversion of particular products into unlicensed territories. These and other features and advantages, which can be used alone or in combination, are detailed herein.

  • Publication number: 20250088509
Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for implementing global rate limiting of an API cluster capable of dynamically implementing updates without a restart of any instantiation within the API cluster. A local service includes an envoy and a customer resource definition. When an update is received, the customer resource definition identifies changes to be made to a global rate limiting service and dynamically injects those changes into the global rate limiting service. The changes can be instance-specific, with multiple different versions stored for the various instantiations within the cluster. The envoy also extracts and converts header information from a received request into one or more descriptor keys. The global rate limiting service determine global rate limiting based on a set of rules applied to the descriptor keys.

  • Publication number: 20250083785
Abstract: A collapsible wing with a frame and a canopy, such that the frame transitions between a deployed state in which the canopy has an aerodynamic profile and a collapsed state with a reduced profile. The frame may have a central spar and two leading edge members pivotally connected to a hinge that slides along the central spar. The leading edge members have an orientation that extends outwardly from the central spar when the frame is in the deployed state and are generally aligned with the central spar when the frame is in the collapsed state.

  • Publication number: 20250084665
Abstract: There is provided a device to facilitate closing doors for people who use wheelchairs or have other mobility challenges. The device can be secured to an internal or external door surface using conventional means, at a height similar to the height of a typical door handle, but closer to the hinges than a typical door handle. The device comprises a base portion for securing the device to the door surface, an arm extending from the base portion, and a handle at the distal end of the arm. During operation, the device allows a person in a wheelchair to close the door by grabbing the handle of the device without positioning the wheelchair within the door frame. There is also provided a biasing device to return the arm to a biased position.

  • Publication number: 20250086675
Abstract: System and methods are provided for mitigating click farm fraud by receiving network data and sensor data from a plurality of computing devices, extracting one or more features from the sensor data and the network data for each of the devices. The features represent one or more of a local physical environment and communication channel environment associated with a device of the plurality of computing devices. The method includes determining one or more subsets of the plurality of computing devices based on environmental and network characteristics of the one or more features, identifying, based on the one or more subsets and detected influencer activities, co-located computing devices, and responsive to determining that a count of the co-located computing devices is greater than a predetermined count, sending a session terminating command to one or more servers in communication with the co-located computing devices to mitigate click farm fraudulent activities.

  • Patent number: 12250409
Abstract: There is disclosed herein examples of systems and methods for compressing a signal. Samples of the signal can be segmented and the samples within each of the segments can be averaged to produce a value that can represent the samples within the segment. The number of samples to average in each segment may be determined based on an error threshold, such that the number of samples being averaged can be maximized to produce less data to be transmitted while maintaining the representation of the samples within the error threshold. In some embodiments, a signal can be separated into a timing reference, a representative periodic function, and a highly compressible error signal. The error signal can be utilized for reproducing a representation of the signal.
