    Abstract: A frequency-agile phase modulator with glitch-free multiplexer in CMOS process technologies for applications including wireless communications, radar, automotive radar, etc. Examples herein offer a novel phase modulator architecture that, when combined with either a wideband power amplifier or multiple narrowband amplifiers, allows for a single transmitter to transmit radar, communication, telemetry, or other similar waveforms across multiple frequency bands. The embodiments herein allow one transmitter to cover a very large operating frequency range, resulting in a decrease in size, weight, power consumption, and cost for future “small” platform systems. In an embodiment, the phase modulator circuit includes a reconfigurable delay-locked loop (DLL) circuit that is configured to receive a radio frequency (RF) input signal (RFin) and a configuration signal.

    Abstract: An interleaved digital to analog converter (DAC) includes at least a first signal path and a second signal path. The DAC further includes at least a first high speed DAC and a second high speed DAC each having an input and an output. The first signal path and the second signal path are electrically coupled to the first high speed DAC input and the second high speed DAC input, respectively. The DAC also includes a zero phase clock signal supplied to the first high speed DAC and a 180° phase shifted clock signal supplied to the second high speed DAC. A summation circuit, having at least two inputs and one output, is coupled to the outputs of the first high speed DAC and the second high speed DACs. A high-pass delta sigma modulator, a low-pass delta sigma modulator, a band pass delta sigma modulator, or notch filter delta sigma modulator is coupled between the first signal path and the first high speed DAC.

    Abstract: The subject application is directed to a system and method for validation of face detection in electronic images. Image data is first received along with at least one image portion that includes a possible facial depiction. Eye position data, nose position data, and mouth position data are also received. A reference point at a central location of the at least one image portion is then isolated. A width of the image portion is then isolated, and a facial region is isolated in accordance with the eye, nose, and mouth position data. The eye distance is then determined from the received eye position data. The isolated facial region data is then tested against the reference point and eye distance is tested against a width of the image portion. An output is generated corresponding to the accuracy of isolated facial region in accordance with the tests.

Image data comprised of a plurality of pixels encoded in at least a three dimensional component space is received and sub-sampled region data is generated from the received image data. A percentage of pixels having a low chroma value below a threshold value is then calculated and tested against a predetermined percentage threshold value. Each pixel is then classified in accordance with a skin tone model. Skin tone map data is then generated based on classification and a skin tone mask is output form the map data.

Image data is received that contains a rectangular array of pixels encoded in a multidimensional color space. The image data is scaled to a scaled rectangular array having a smaller number of pixels such that both a selected rectangular dimension and a complimentary dimension are scaled to preselected dimension values. Region-of-interest data is received for an isolated region in the image data. A mask matrix, having a rectangular array of elements corresponding to pixels of the scaled rectangular array, is stored. The mask matrix, populated using region-of-interest data, has first and second values associated with each entry, with the first value, but not the second value, corresponding to a region of interest in the scaled rectangular array. Received image data is adjusted according to image data values based on pixel values associated with first value elements.

    Abstract: A system and method for managing memory for color transforms. Color input data representing a colorized electronic document is first received by a color management module and analyzed. The color transformations required to complete processing of the color document is then determined. A plurality of lookup tables are then generated in system memory in accordance with the determined color transformations specified by the analysis of the color input data. A counter, corresponding to a lookup table for each request for a related color transform is then selectively incremented and decremented, based upon the output and determinations of the color management module. The color management module then selectively clears a lookup tables in the associated system memory when a corresponding counter value has been decremented to a selected level.

The data points are then communicated to an interpolator. The LED array can be a portable LED array, an embedded LED array or a double-sided LED array. The LED array is a preferably a combo LED array and further includes a monitor screen, which may be mounted in the dashboard of the vehicle, and may include a multi-position turn signal switch. Also disclosed is a flexible U-turn signal device, which may be activated by a wireless remote control switch.
