  • Patent number: 9088561
Abstract: Method and system for authentication in a computer network is provided. A first message from a client to a server is transmitted, where the first message includes erroneous user information. In response to the first message, a second message is transmitted from the server to the client, where the second message includes an error message and a nonce. The client transmits a third message to the server in response to the second message, where the third message includes non-erroneous user information and the nonce. The server then provides authentication in response to the client's third message.

  • Publication number: 20150086301
Abstract: There is disclosed a carrier and method for handling and/or transport of a substrate, such as during processing of the substrate, for example, back-thinning. The carrier and method provide support for the substrate. The process is particularly suited to thinning of substrates for use in 3D integrated circuits. The carrier comprises: a contact surface with one or more recesses therein for trapping a volume when the contact surface is brought towards the substrate, the contact surface for supporting the substrate; a sealing surface at the periphery of the contact surface and offset from the contact surface; and the sealing member seating on the sealing surface and arranged to be compressed to form a seal to the substrate when a substrate is in contact with the contact surface, the seal sealing the trapped volume between the substrate and carrier.

  • Publication number: 20140013621
Abstract: Footwear that includes a base and an attachable high top. The base forms low-top footwear that includes an ankle opening to receive the ankle of the wearer, and laces or straps to secure the base to the wearer's foot. The base also includes one or more strap openings. The footwear also includes a high-top that is attachable to the base to form a high-top to better support the wearer's ankle. The high-top includes one or more connectors that include an enclosed channel with an inlet and an outlet. An attachment strap is inserted through the one or more openings in the base and one or more connectors in the high-top to secure the sections together. The strap is constructed of a semi-rigid material that is longitudinally supportive to be pushed through the openings and connectors. The longitudinally-supportive strap and the one or more connectors provides for a straightforward and quick manner of attaching and detaching the high-top from the base.

  • Patent number: 8529030
Abstract: A check valve unit is provided for a high-speed phase change ink image producing machine between a reservoir for receiving and holding a volume of melted ink from a source and a receiving unit, which may be a printhead system. The check valve unit includes a plurality of ball elements trapped between upper and lower housings defining a like plurality of inlet and discharge passageways. The passageways are configured to optimize flow of melted ink through the unit during charging of the secondary reservoir. The check valve unit is scalable as to size and number of reservoirs for a particular application. The unit further incorporates features that simplify the manufacturing and assembly process while maintaining optimal performance.
