  • Publication number: 20150356956
Abstract: The invention provides a tremolo device for a stringed instrument. The tremolo device comprises a base plate, which comprises a leading edge comprising an elongate bearing surface, the elongate bearing surface defining an engagement end at a first end of the elongate bearing surface and a free end at a second end of the elongate bearing surface. The tremolo device further comprises a pivot rail, which comprises an elongate pivot bearing surface with a mating end at one end, so that when the base plate is engaged with the pivot rail, the engagement end of the elongate bearing surface is matingly engaged with the mating end of the pivot rail, to secure pivotal contact between the elongate bearing surface and the elongate pivot bearing surface preventing separation of the base plate from the pivot rail while allowing rotation of the base plate about a longitudinal axis of the pivot rail.

  • Patent number: 9171529
Abstract: A tremolo device is provided. The tremolo device has a base plate with a leading edge that comprises a bearing surface. The base plate also comprises a bracket for attachment of a lever. The tremolo device also includes a pivot rail comprising a pivot bearing surface that matingly engages the bearing surface of the leading edge. When matingly engaged, the bearing surface of the leading edge and the pivot bearing surface defines 3 or more contact surfaces having a length of from about 20% to about 100% of the length of the leading edge.
