  • Patent number: 8416150
Abstract: A method and system for determining a position for an interstitial diffuser for use in a multi-component display is disclosed. Embodiments utilize a camera to capture images of visual output from one or more display screens of a multi-component display, where each image may be taken with an interstitial diffuser at a different position between the display screens. The images may be used to analyze the Moiré interference and blur of the visual output at each position of the diffuser. Moiré interference values for each diffuser position may be determined by processing images captured of the visual output while each display screen displays a white image. Blur values for each diffuser position may be determined by comparing images captured of the visual output with a reference image.
