  • Patent number: 8537022
Abstract: The invention provides a method for configurable ground monitoring of a workbench, and the method comprises the steps as follows. The step of detecting if each of monitored objects of a monitor device is enable should be performed first. A digital value of each of the monitored objects according to detecting result is then calculated and accumulated. The step of detecting if each of the monitored objects reaches a predetermined number of samples is performed, and the step of calculating an average value of each of the monitored objects according to detecting result is followed. The average measured value is compared with a predetermined digital limit-value of each of the monitored objects; furthermore, a corresponding alarm will be sounded when the average measured value exceeds the predetermined digital limit-value. The digital value and a compared result are then sent, and then the step of detecting if the operator ground connection is enabled is performed.

  • Patent number: 8138936
Abstract: A method for testing personnel ESD grounding devices with a function of near-fail alert is disclosed. A near-fail range is set. When the measurement of the resistance for a wrist strap or a footwear is within the near-fail range; an alarm is actuated to alert the user that the static electricity prevention device worn by the user will fail soon. The near-fail range is provided so that the user can receive an alert when the wrist strap or the footwear being worn on will fail soon in the near future and thus to remind the user to adopt proper reactions to change or fix the personnel ESD grounding device to prevent its sudden failure during actual use. Furthermore, the test provides digital readouts and has higher precision to avoid faulty results. Moreover, the wrist strap and footwear are tested simultaneously and individual results can be derived so as to avoid errors in test. A device for performing the method is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20110282608
Abstract: A portable defensive AC impedance data logging device is used for measuring the AC impedance. The portable defensive AC impedance data logging device disclosed in the present invention can display not only a traditional measured result but also a comparison result derived from the measured result and preset limit values for further producing a “near-fail” preventive result. A set of informative logging data, such as location code and date and time when the measurement is performed, is automatically added into each measured record that can be stored paperlessly in device memory for quick check. The device further combines a portable mass data storage technique to provide an unlimited automatic data storage space for convenient transporting of the measured records to other sophisticated data processing system such as personal computers.

  • Patent number: 6259304
Abstract: A real-time standby voltage adjustment circuit includes a switch control circuit controlled by a power saving control signal provided by a personal computer for generating a switch signal. A switch device is controlled by the switch signal for receiving a working voltage provided by a power supply of the personal computer and selectively outputting the same. A converting control circuit receives an adjust voltage signal generated by an adjustment and switch circuit. The converting control circuit is controlled by the power saving control signal for applying the adjust voltage signal back to the adjustment and switch circuit thereby controlling the adjustment and switch circuit to adjust a standby voltage provided by the power supply and output an adjusted standby voltage.
