  • Publication number: 20240136774
Abstract: An electrical connector includes an insulation housing, a conductive housing assembled to the insulation housing, a plurality of conductive terminals installed within both the insulation housing and the conductive housing, and a spacer. The plurality of conductive terminals include a plurality of ground terminals in contact with the conductive housing to electrically connect the plurality of ground terminals together. The spacer is connected to the insulation housing such that the conductive housing is positioned between the insulation housing and the spacer. The spacer is formed with a clamping structure clamping the conductive housing and the ground terminals together.

  • Publication number: 20240136741
Abstract: An electrical connector includes an insulation housing having opposite first and second sides, an array of a plurality of conductive terminals, a plurality of solder balls, and a spacer. The conductive terminals are mounted within the insulation housing, with each conductive terminal having a contact segment and an opposite solder segment. The contact segment is at least partially exposed from the first side, and the solder segment is at least partially exposed from the second side. Each solder ball is connected to the solder segment of a corresponding conductive terminal. The spacer is disposed on the second side of the insulation housing and is positioned between adjacent solder balls.

  • Patent number: 8302457
Abstract: A sensor system for detecting a collision between first and second parts moving relative to each other. The sensor system comprises at least one sensor for detecting a collision between the first and second parts, the sensor comprising first and second elongate conductive elements and a non-conducting spacing element partially extending between the first and second elongate conductive elements to separate the conductive elements from each other and to define spaced, adjacent portions of the conductive elements. A signal transmitting wire is in communication with each elongate conductive element. A housing retains the sensor for mounting in a region between the first and second parts such that any collision between the parts will tend to deform the spaced, adjacent portions of the conductive elements into contact with each other at the point of collision to complete a circuit via the signal transmitting wires to indicate the collision has occurred.

  • Publication number: 20050226771
Abstract: A fluid distribution system comprising a table, an alignment stage, and a plurality of processing stations. The table can be configured to engage at least one of a plurality of microplates and can be movable at least in an X-axis direction. The alignment stage can be configured to move the table at least in a Y-axis direction that differs from the X-axis direction. The plurality of processing stations comprises at least one or more dispensing stations and a plate-handling station. Each of the one or more dispensing stations comprises a dispensing device adapted to dispense fluid into or onto one or more of a plurality of microplates, and the plate-handling station comprises a plate-handling device adapted to selectively pick up and deposit on the table individual microplates from a plurality of microplates, at least one at a time.
