  • Patent number: 5190381
Abstract: A release bearing assembly free from breakage and deformation, in which a force exerted from a release fork is not applied directly onto a sleeve. To this end, a cylindrical sleeve (7) guided by a guide (2) is not secured directly to a side plate (9) between an inner race (10) and the guide (2), as with a conventional structure. A cover (8) which has not hitherto been used, is used in the present invention. The cover (8) is secured to the side plate (9), and the cover (8) sandwiches the sleeve (7) in cooperation with a release bearing (6).

  • Patent number: 4938729
Abstract: A damper disk of a rubber-series type including elastic members made from rubber, in which second arms are provided with support members made from elastic material having a high rigidity and operable to increase the pushing force transmitting area from the second arms to the elastic members. Rubber sheets are provided between the second arms and the elastic members and the end surfaces of the support members, being of enlarged area, prevent deformation of the rubber sheets.

  • Patent number: 4533338
Abstract: The present invention discloses a damper disc comprising a hub adapted to be connected to an output shaft; a radial flange formed integrally with the hub; a pair of side plates having a torque input portion at the outer peripheral portion, and disposed at opposite sides of the hub flange; a pair of sub-plates disposed between the hub flange and the side plates; a sub-pin connecting the sub-plates together and passing through a circumferentially long recess in the hub flange radially outward from the hub, a circumferential space corresponding to a first torsion angle being formed between the sub-pin and the side edge of the recess; a first torsion spring mechanism having a low spring constant and operable to connect the sub-plates and the hub flange together at a torsion area below the first torsion angle; a second torsion spring mechanism having a large spring constant, connecting the side plate and sub-plates together and operable to connect the side plates and the hub flange together at a torsion area above

  • Patent number: 4527679
Abstract: An automatic clutch unit having a pneumatically operated servo-cylinder for operating a clutch and simultaneously incorporating one newly-developed proportional electro-pneumatic control valve, which supplies an air quantity corresponding to an intensity of electric current, to have the clutch shift in compliance with a delicate clutch displacement pattern according to each driving condition; perceiving that vacuum can easily be extracted from an intake manifold in case of a vehicle powered by a petrol engine and that a compressor for braking operation is always equipped in case of a vehicle powered by a large diesel engine.
