  • Patent number: 5720256
Abstract: When conditions for purging fuel vapor from a canister, and conditions for learning an idle rotation speed materialize together, then purge concentration is computed. If the purge concentration is low, purge is prohibited, and learning is carried out, while if the purge concentration is high, learning is prohibited and purge is carried out. In this way, erroneous learning due to carrying out purge during learning can be avoided, and the opportunity for purging can be maintained.

  • Patent number: 5463299
Abstract: A current controller has provided therein assumed response generating means and load model means so as to realize repetitive type control with no influence of control delay against a periodically repetitive current response. This current controller is applied to a 120-degree current flow type motor using a pulse width modulation inverter, so that the DC current control including the process of response to the rise of the current can be realized only by a microcomputer.

  • Patent number: 4898139
Abstract: An apparatus for controlling a spark ignited internal combustion engine comprising a control unit including a memory having first and second tables containing the desired relationships between the engine condition and the spark timing for the engine operating on low and high octane fuels. The control unit calculates a value corresponding to a setting of the spark timing repetitively at uniform intervals from the first table in response to a first level of the control signal and from the second table in response to a second level of the control signal and advances the spark timing at a predetermined rate in the presence of the first level of the control signal and changes to the second level when the spark timing is advanced over a first reference value.
