  • Patent number: 8603664
Abstract: An assembled battery is provided which can improve output density. Four unit cells are connected in series by a connection member 40 composed of a stacked metal plate obtained by stacking two metal plates 40a and 40b. The metal plate 40a is one of copper and aluminum while the metal plate 40b is nickel. Since the volume electrical resistance of both copper and aluminum is less than half that of nickel, the overall electrical resistance of the connection member 40 is lowered. Both end portions of the connection member 40 are joined to external electrode terminals by resistance welding so that the weld joint is formed from either a Cu—Ni or Al—Ni low resistance binary alloy.

  • Patent number: 7614183
Abstract: A complex system where a plant group having a heat island phenomenon suppression effect and a solar cell having a carbon dioxide generation suppression effect are installed together. The purposes are to eliminate an adverse influence of both shadows of the plant group and the solar cell and to prevent the solar cell system from flying away by the wind pressure against the base side. The average height of the solar cell module is greater than that of the plant group. The plant group and the solar cell module are installed with a gap larger than the distance corresponding to the height difference between them. At least between the paired plant group and solar cell which face each other, an area for a person to walk through is provided. More than half of the ventilation area of the base side is covered with the plant group, a heat insulating material, and a moisture-retaining material.

  • Publication number: 20080063932
Abstract: The present invention provides an assembled battery which can improve output density. The assembled batter is configured by connecting four unit cells in series. The unit cells are disposed in parallel such that their polarities are alternate. Unit cells adjacent to each other are connected by a connection member 40. The connection member 40 is composed of a stacked metal plate obtained by stacking two metal plates 40a and 40b. Copper and nickel producing binary alloy by welding are used for the metal plates 40a and 40b, respectively. Since a volume resistance of copper is about ¼ of that of nickel, a ratio of volume resistances of metals used for the metal plates 40a and 40b, respectively, becomes ½ or less. Both end portions of the connection member 40 are joined to a positive electrode external terminal of one of the adjacent unit cells and a negative electrode external terminal of the other by resistance welding, respectively.

  • Publication number: 20070184338
Abstract: A secondary battery having an excellent capacity maintenance factor or charging/discharging efficiency is provided. A lithium-ion battery comprises an electrode group that a positive electrode and a negative electrode which respective of active materials for the positive and negative electrodes is coated on both surfaces of a collecting member. An area S1 of a portion of then egative electrode 7 not facing the positive electrode 6 is set to be not more than 10% of an area S2 of a portion of the negative electrode 7 facing the positive electrode 6. An influence that the portion not facing the positive electrode affects a battery reaction is controlled, and the decrease in the capacity maintenance factor or the charging/discharging efficiency according to cycling use can be depressed.

  • Patent number: 4794597
Abstract: In a storage unit equipped with a Reliablity, Availability and Serviceability (RAS) circuit, including a memory unit constructed of, e.g., a dynamic random access memory (DRAM) unit, for storing data with an error coding code (ECC), and an ECC unit constructed of e.g., an ECC checking circuit, for correcting a 1-bit error and detecting a 1-bit error, or more than 2-bit error contained in the data read from the memory unit, an ECC diagnostic unit is connected between said memory unit and said ECC unit, and an error made concerning the memory unit and ECC unit is diagnosed by the ECC diagnostic unit by selectively inverting the data read from the memory unit into diagnostic data during the checking operation of the ECC units to diagnose proper operation of the ECC unit and detect erros.
