  • Publication number: 20040183391
Abstract: An insulating paper piece for electric motors, capable of improving both electrical insulation between a coil and a stator core and electrical insulation between ends of coils of different phases without adversely affecting ease of coil insertion or the space taken up for the coil. A single insulating paper piece for electric motors contains at least two slot cell portions arranged in two slots of the stator core in which portions of one single pole coil are to be inserted, with two phase insulation portions arranged to connect respective ends of the two slot cell portions to form loops and disposed to face directly against coil ends of the single pole coil. The phase insulation portions comprise overlapping widthwise portions extended from both ends so that when a plurality of the insulating paper pieces for electric motors are mounted on the stator core, the respective overlapping portions of the adjacent insulating paper pieces overlap one another.

  • Publication number: 20040150276
Abstract: A method of connecting a plurality of motor lead wires formed with an insulating coating while ensuring electric conduction among them. In connecting the motor lead wires through a connection terminal, a fusing process is executed after a passing-through process is executed. The passing-through process is one in which the motor lead wires arranged in parallel are passed through slots in the connection terminal. The fusing process is one in which a pair of side plate portions facing each other with the motor lead wires interposed therebetween is sandwiched between opposing electrodes to be pressurized, and a predetermined current is conducted between the opposed electrodes from one of the side plate portions to the other of the side plate portions to generate heat to electrically connect the connection terminal and the motor lead wires to each other.

  • Publication number: 20040145081
Abstract: An apparatus and method of forming a resin film on a surface of a stator core including a ring-shaped yoke portion, a plurality of teeth each protruding from the yoke portion in a radial direction, and a plurality of slots formed between the teeth, including forming the resin film on a section of the stator core by molding a synthetic resin material onto a surface of the section and repeating the molding on another section of the stator core so as to form the resin film on a whole periphery of the stator core, wherein the stator core is divided into a plurality of sections with respect to an axial center thereof.

  • Publication number: 20040124730
Abstract: A wedge having a high stiffness and a high fitting performance is provided. The wedge is fitted into a slot for inserting a coil formed at an inner circumferential side of a ring-shaped stator core such that the wedge closes an inner circumferential opening portion of the slot. The slot has a slot opening portion having a reduced gap at an inner circumferential end of the slot, and a general portion having an increased gap compared with the slot opening portion at an outer circumferential side of the slot. The wedge has a wider portion disposed in the general portion, and a convex portion having a smaller lateral size than that of the wider portion, which is arranged protrusively from the wider portion and disposed in the slot opening portion. The wedge is preferably formed by integrally molding the wider portion and the convex portion using synthetic resin.

  • Publication number: 20040068858
Abstract: A motor manufacturing method includes: a coil formation step of forming a unipolar coil, having coil inserting portions at two positions and coil end portions at two positions, in to a shape that changes such that a size in a height direction parallel to the coil inserting portion is larger in an inner peripheral side corresponding to a diametrical direction of a motor core along a direction of a winding axis center, than in an outer peripheral side; and a coil insertion step of disposing the unipolar coil in such a manner that the coil inserting portions in the unipolar coil respectively face toward inner peripheral opening portions of slots and are substantially parallel to an axial direction of the motor core, and inserting the coil inserting portions of the unipolar coil into the slots by moving the unipolar coil toward the motor core substantially linearly, while holding the motor core such that protrusion dimensions at both ends protruding from both end surface positions in an axial direction of the mot

  • Publication number: 20040046477
Abstract: With a stator core (20) used as ala outer die, a cavity (dA, dB) is formed between the stator core (20) and a die (30A, 30B) having a protruding portion (31, 32) which is inserted in a slot (23). The cavity (dA) has both side portions (dA1) thereof widen gradually from a slot opening portion toward a depth side. The cavity (dB) widens at a depth side corner portion (dB2). Liquefied resin generally flows evenly through such wide portion into each portion to form a stator core provided with an insulating member. As a result, filling with the synthetic resin can be appropriately conducted while securing a slot space factor and coil insatiability in the core provided with the insulating member formed integrally by synthetic resin.
