Abstract: The present relates to a method and arrangement for controlling streams of participants of a virtual meeting, wherein at least a first participant and a second participant are located in a first location and at least a third participant is located in a second location. The arrangement comprises means for receiving location information associated with identity information for each participant, means for receiving a stream from each participant whereby the stream comprises at least audio and an identity of the respective participant, means for controlling transmission of each received stream separately to said participants based on said location information and identity information such that streams between the participants in the same location are blocked.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and arrangement for managing a virtual meeting for at least two participants wherein each participant uses his/her mobile phone for communicating with the other participants and an identifier of each participant is provided to said arrangement, the arrangement comprises means for handling an entering procedure to the virtual meeting for each participant, means for handling a login procedure for each participant, and means for handling a startup procedure for each participant. The arrangement comprises means for identifying each participant during said procedures by the provided identifier whereby said identifier is associated with subscriber information adapted to be stored in on storing means connectable to the mobile phone used by the respective participant.

Abstract: A broadcast channel, such as a broadcast control channel that carries a short message service, in a GSM/EDGE or similar communication system can be extended with additional timeslots. These additional timeslots can be pointed out in a tree structure, the root of which is in the SMS broadcast channel. The extended broadcast channel can be used for broadcast-like services provided under a multimedia broadcast/multicast service.

Abstract: The excitation pulse parameters are encoded when determining the positions of a given number of excitation pulses within a speech frame in a linear predictive speech encoder. The positions are determined by a combination of two known methods. First, a plurality of calculation stages are performed to determine the positions of the excitation pulses in accordance with the first known method. Then, a plurality of calculation stages are performed to determine the positions of the excitation pulses in accordance with the second method, each with a starting point from one of a plurality of positions calculated in accordance with the first method.
