  • Patent number: 8967943
Abstract: A load carrier includes a load changing frame that has first and second end portions. The load changing frame has two longitudinal frame beams, two transverse frame beams arranged at the end portions of the load changing frame, and a first, upwardly tapering lifting stand. The second end portion of the load changing frame includes a second lifting stand, which is shaped and arranged in accordance with the first lifting stand. The transverse frame beams are elongated to extend outward from the longitudinal frame beams for mounting of supports facing the support surface. A plurality of such load carriers are adapted to be stacked on top of each other, wherein each overlying load carrier with its lifting stands is adapted to straddle the lifting stands of the underlying load carrier vertically from above, wherein the length of the stack corresponds to the length of the load carrier.

  • Publication number: 20100101207
Abstract: The invention relates to a turbine device comprising a gas turbine portion and concentrically with the gas turbine portion arranged steam turbine portion, where the gas turbine portion and the steam turbine portion have a common rotor (28). The invention also relates to a device for use in a compressor (1) or a turbine (3, 4, 5), where the rotor blades (9) of the rotor (28) as well as the stator blades (19) of the stator (21) comprise fluid channels (23, 26) for collecting heat in the compressor or the turbine. The objective of the invention is to provide a gas turbine engine with high power density and coefficient of efficiency.

  • Patent number: 6851991
Abstract: Hull and propeller arrangement for a surface watercraft (1), provided with at least one propeller (3), in addition to which the propeller (3), at high speeds of the watercraft, is surface-piercing, and the propeller (3) is arranged in such a manner that only the propeller blades (11) or parts thereof are submerged in the water at high speeds of the watercraft (1), in addition to which the hull (2) is provided with at least one streamlined projecting part (4) extends essentially in the longitudinal direction of the hull (2), the projecting part (4), in terms of its outer shape, has, at its aft end (6), an end edge (15) which, at least in part, extends essentially transversely to the longitudinal direction of the projecting part (4), the propeller (3) is locaded immediately astern of the end edge (15), and a part of the propeller, in the radial direction, extends beyond the delimiting surfaces of the projecting part (4).

  • Patent number: 4022132
Abstract: Apparatus for use in a projectile-borne passive infra-red proximity fuse for detecting infra-red radiation emitted from a target. The apparatus includes at least one pair of optical means which are respectively located at spaced locations around the periphery of the projectile. The pair of optical means is so located that the beams of infra-red radiation associated therewith, which are both imaged upon a common detector, form an angle therebetween both in a plane through the longitudinal axis of the projectile and in a plane normal to such axis. Logic circuitry is provided and controlled by the detector to provide a distinctive output in response to the signals which are generated by the beams of radiation received from a target which is spinning about its longitudinal axis and is within a predetermined distance of the projectile.

  • Patent number: 3954340
Abstract: The invention relates to optical target tracking. A target image, particularly based on reflected laser light, is projected by an optical system onto a light-sensitive detector, control signals for directing purposes being generated depending on the position of the target image on the detector surface. At least when a clear target image on the detector surface would be small in comparison with the detector surface, the area of the target image is increased by blurring the target image, for instance by displacing the detector plane from the image plane of the optical system.
