Patent number: 11246772Abstract: A bandage securing device composed of a first sheet part and a second sheet part, and optionally also a third sheet part. The first and second sheet parts are connected to each other along a connection line extending in a width direction and arranged to overlap each other, thereby forming a jaw-like structure in a longitudinal direction. At least one of the first and second sheet parts, and possibly both, are provided with at least one first adherent fastening layer on an internal surface facing the overlap. Further, the bandage securing device can include at least one second adherent fastening layer on an external surface, not facing the overlap, to detachably connect to the bandage. This second adherent fastening layer may be provided on one of the first and second sheet parts, and/or on the third sheet part.Type: GrantFiled: March 24, 2016Date of Patent: February 15, 2022Assignee: PRESSCISE ABInventors: Torbjörn Lundh, Jonatan Vasilis, Josefin Damm

Patent number: 11116671Abstract: A compression garment for providing an adjustable pressure towards a body part is disclosed. The compression garment comprises a unitary single sheet of elastic material arranged to encircle the full circumference of a body part, such as a limb or the head. The sheet is folded or arranged to be folded in at least one predefined way, so that the folding forms one or more defined overlap(s) forming at least two overlaying layers of the sheet encircling the full circumference of a part of the body part. Hereby, the pressure profile of the garment can easily be adjusted by making use of the garment in different folded configurations. Markings may further be provided to provide guidance towards the predefined ways of folding.Type: GrantFiled: January 19, 2015Date of Patent: September 14, 2021Assignee: PRESSCISE ABInventors: Torbjörn Lundh, Jonatan Vasilis, Josefin Damm

Publication number: 20200000622Abstract: A kit for making a limb or other body part encircling therapeutic device, for applying dynamic and/or static pressure to said limb/body part. The kit comprises: a garment or bandage encircling the limb/body part, and preferably applying a compression to said limb/body part; and a plurality of patches being releasably attachable to each other and to said garment or bandage. The patches are releasably attachable to each other at overlap areas when arranged at least partly overlapping each other. Hereby, the garment may, if desired, be used to provide a continuous, static pressure to the limb/body part, whereas the patches can form a patch layer providing primarily a dynamic pressure. Hereby, the pressure properties and profile may be controlled easily and very precisely. A corresponding method, patch and therapeutic pressure assembly are also disclosed.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 24, 2016Publication date: January 2, 2020Inventors: Torbjörn Lundh, Josefin Damm, Jonatan Vasilis

Publication number: 20170368317Abstract: Torque devices for navigating a guidewire through a body lumen are disclosed. The devices have a variable speed transmission design, including at least a first transmission region along a first position of the device, and a second transmission region along a second position of the device. The first and second transmission regions have different diameters, thereby allowing rotational control of the guidewire between at least two different stroke angles.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 28, 2017Publication date: December 28, 2017Inventors: Torbjörn Lundh, Oliver Oppers Aalami, Nathan Koji Itoga

Patent number: 9636208Abstract: A vascular prosthesis is disclosed, comprising a forked tube, having: an inflow tube with an inflow end; a primary distal outflow branch with a primary distal outflow end; and a secondary proximal outflow branch with a secondary proximal outflow end. The two outflow ends are directed in different directions and the two outflow branches in the vicinity of the bifurcation have different cross-sectional areas. Further, the secondary proximal outflow branch is more curved than the primary distal outflow branch, and the secondary proximal outflow branch in the vicinity of the bifurcation has a smaller cross-sectional area than the primary distal outflow branch. Hereby, energy losses at flow bifurcations is adapted to the bypass situation to even out the level of shear stress, thereby avoiding areas with low shear stress and decreasing the tendency for turbulent flow, thus reducing the risk of graftstenosis.Type: GrantFiled: May 14, 2008Date of Patent: May 2, 2017Assignee: Y-GRAFT ABInventors: Torbjörn Lundh, Erney Mattsson

Publication number: 20160166437Abstract: An elastic bandage is disclosed, enabling the bandage to be applied with improved ease, predictability and controllability, even on body parts having variable circumference. The bandage comprises an elongate strip of a stretchable elastic textile material, wherein a first set of repeated markings are provided and distributed along the longitudinal direction of the elongate strip for correlation of markings within different turns, allowing turns having the same length of unstretched elastic bandage to be wrapped and stretched around various circumferences with different yield rates. Further, the elastic property of the elongate strip is such that the pressure exerted by such turns having the same length of unstretched elastic bandage varies less than 30% over a range of approximately circular circumferences providing a range of yield rates from ?1 to ?2, wherein ?2/?1>1.8.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 19, 2013Publication date: June 16, 2016Applicant: PRESSCISE ABInventors: Torbjörn LUNDH, Erney MATTSSON, Jonathan VASILIS

Patent number: 8945207Abstract: A method and apparatus for a removable porous stent to be placed in tubular structures that is unsuitable for permanent stents. The walls of the stent are freely permeable to allow the blood flow. The stent can be used as a carrier of chemotherapy or radiation to be placed in tubular structures for local treatment of cancer. The stent is formed by at least one continuous thread arranged in interconnected loops and having a reversible bind-off at one end of the tubular body, mechanically securing each loop at said end of the tubular body apart from a single releasable loop. This loop is preferably extended beyond the tubular structure of the stent enabling an initiation of the removal at a distance from the treatment site.Type: GrantFiled: December 20, 2010Date of Patent: February 3, 2015Assignee: Graftcraft I Göteborg ABInventors: Erney Mattsson, Torbjörn Lundh

Patent number: 8758423Abstract: A stent device for treating an aneurysm is disclosed. The stent device comprises an expandable balloon with a channel extending through said balloon from one side to another, and a supporting stent connected to said balloon. In an operative disposition, when the expandable balloon is expanded, the supporting stent is arranged at least partly within said channel of said expandable balloon. Further, the supporting stent has walls which are permeable to blood. The stent device may be introduced and removed by endoscopic procedures, with a relatively simple procedure. Thus, the stent device is highly useable for fast and temporary treatment of ruptured aneurysms.Type: GrantFiled: June 18, 2009Date of Patent: June 24, 2014Assignee: Graftcraft I Goteborg ABInventors: Erney Mattsson, Torbjörn Lundh

Publication number: 20120158122Abstract: A removable porous stent is disclosed, which can be placed in tubular structures. In at least one embodiment, it can be placed at locations, which are unsuitable for permanent stents, like across important branches in the vasculature preferably in combination with anticoagulation. The walls of the stent are freely permeable for the blood flow. A temporary stent can be used during treatment of dissections with involvement of side branches. The dissected membrane is relocated to its original place and held in place by the stent until the healing process has reattached the membrane. At this point the stent will be removed. The removable stent can also be used, in at least one embodiment, as a carrier of chemotherapy and/or radiation to be placed in tubular structures for local treatment of cancer. The time for treatment is controlled and finished at removal. This approach will give the possibility to increase dosages and reduce side effects.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 20, 2010Publication date: June 21, 2012Applicant: Graftcraft I Goeteborg ABInventors: Erney Mattson, Torbjõrn Lundh
