  • Publication number: 20110005873
Abstract: A brake for a work machine includes a brake rotor, a hydraulically operated device for actuating the brake by clamping the brake rotor, and an arrangement for damping jerks resulting from a sudden brake actuation. The brake rotor includes a pair of brake force transmitting discs and the damping arrangement is formed by a damping layer positioned between the discs and secured to each of the discs.

  • Patent number: 6131705
Abstract: The invention relates to a friction brake (1) adjuster, comprising an elongated fastener (24) with first and second ends (27, 29). The fastener (24) is arranged in a bore (38) in a brake piston (7), which is displaceable relative to a brake housing (2) surrounding the friction brake (1) to a braking position and to a retracted position. The brake piston (7) can be displaced to the retracted position by a spring member (22).

  • Patent number: 6076639
Abstract: The invention relates to a wear indicator (11) for a vehicle brake, for example. The indicator has an adjustable measuring rod (12) which can be inserted into a cavity (14) in a brake housing (2), so that one end abuts against the brake piston (4) and the other end protrudes from the brake housing. When the brake is engaged, the length of the measuring rod (12) can be calibrated by means of a calibrating cap (27, 30) to a predetermined starting value corresponding to new friction linings.

  • Patent number: 5662192
Abstract: A disk brake comprising a disk (1) which carries on each side a secondary friction layer (7) to which a primary friction layer (6) is affixed, wherein the friction layers (6, 7) are actuable by brake shoes (4, 5), wherein when at least one of the primary friction layers (6) is worn away contact between the secondary friction layer (7) and respective brake shoes (4, 5) will give rise to an indicating sound, and wherein cooling grooves (9) are provided in the primary friction layer (6), wherein each cooling groove (9) extends at least through the full thickness of the primary friction layer (6).

  • Patent number: 5156520
Abstract: A linkage system for loading machines is mounted on two lift-arms (14) supporting a pallet-lifting fork or a bucket (22) at the ends of the lift-arms. The linkage system is so designed that when using a bucket (22) or pallet-lifting fork the linkage system will ensure that the bucket or lifting fork will take a substantially desired angular position as it is raised and lowered, without needing to make adjustments to the tilt-cylinder as the bucket or lifting fork is raised.
