  • Patent number: 4902390
Abstract: An electrostatic system for treating liquid within a container includes a two wire, electrostatic field generator of improved construction having an enclosed two wire electrical supply and grounding provision, a concealed grounding connection, and an improved electrode construction to facilitate assembly and dissassembly thereof. The subject improved field generator may be used in an aerated circulation system to effectively moderate the rate of propagation of certain undesired bacterial cultures.

  • Patent number: 4822473
Abstract: An electrostatic field generator for applying an electrostatic field by submersion in a liquid has a cantilever tubular construction wherein an electrically conductive tube has a fluid impervious dieletric sleeve covering a major portion of the outer surface of the tube and at least one insulative end cap secured to an end of the tube in electrical isolating relation with the exterior of the tube. The end cap has attachment means for securing the end cap in aligned sealing relation with a through passage in the wall of a vessel and electrical circuit connect means in insulated relation within the end cap connected electrically to the conductive tube.

  • Patent number: 4801370
Abstract: A field generator for generating an electrostatic field within a liquid is provided with a cylindrical body having a protective non-conducting coating covering a major portion of its length, a first boss comprising a mounting boss enclosing one end of the body in protective sealing relation therewith and a second protective boss similarly mounted in protective sealing relation at the other end of the body independently of the first boss to provide a rodless field generator construction. In one embodiment the field generator is employed in combination with an enclosing pipe for conducting a flow of liquid past the field generator, the pipe being secured in axially constraining relation with at least one of the end bosses.

  • Patent number: 4545887
Abstract: The disclosure is of an electrostatic electrode placed directly in a storage tank of a water system. Hitherto, the electrode has been placed in a water jacket which is connected into the pipework. Improved consistency of de-scaling performance is thereby achieved, and the cost of installation is much reduced. Also disclosed is a construction of electrode that is well suited to mounting without the protection of an enclosing jacket or pipe, the construction being based on the use of a screwed rod passing down the center of the electrode, and insulated from the mounting means.
