  • Patent number: 7775014
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for attaching a first stud (20) against a transverse second stud (30). The respective stud(s) include(s) at least two opposite flanges (5). A connector piece (40) is brought to extend at said first stud (20) into a longitudinal groove which is arranged at a flange inner side (6), whereby an outer locking end (42) arranged at said connector piece is brought into a locking engagement with a corresponding groove (12) in the other stud (30). The present invention also relates to a stud (20, 30) which includes opposite flanges (5) and a first longitudinal groove between said flanges. An additional longitudinal groove (12) extends in into the respective flange (5) and defines a retaining edge (14) for a connector piece (40) which extends in the groove. The present invention further relates to a connector piece (40) for connecting studs (20, 30).

  • Patent number: 7225594
Abstract: The present invention relates to a stud system where each respective stud (2) includes flanges (4, 4a) which are directly attached to each other and which constitute an essentially monolithic entity. Said flanges are formed of a wane edge wood material (3) in such a manner that each respective flange includes a bevelled side portion (6) which is directed towards the inner portion of said stud. A side portion is formed as a contact surface (8) for intermeshing co-operation with a corresponding contact surface (8) at an adjacent flange. The present invention also relates to a method for manufacturing such studs where a first flange strip (4) is formed to include a generally toothed first contact surface (8) which is arranged in an inter-mesching disposition with a corresponding contact surface (8) at a corresponding second flange strip (4a). Further, the present invention relates to a method at such stud systems.

  • Patent number: 6761009
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing studs (9) or the like generally oblong pieces comprising a central web (14) and opposite flanges (8a, 8b) connected thereto. The present invention also relates to a stud system comprising such studs, as well as to methods for attaching such studs between an upper and a lower surface. Said flanges (8a, 8b) are formed of an essentially latch-like waste wood material which has been generated in mechanical wood processing, whereby a contact surface (13) is formed at the side of a respective opposite flange latch (8a, 8b) for co-operation with a surface (13a) shaped in a corresponding manner at a web (14) which also is made of wood, suitably of said waste wood material. Said contact surfaces (13, 13a) are glued, favorably under press, together so that said web (14) and said flanges (8a, 8b) attached thereto form an essentially monolithic entity.

  • Patent number: 4443983
Abstract: The invention relates to a means for fastening a frame to a wall stud. In order to avoid the use of wooden studs between the frame (7) and the steel stud (6) there is arranged in those locations in the steel stud (5) where the frame (7) is fastened to the stud by means of a screw (13) a stud piece (14) whose web through which the screw (13) is passed is provided with a reinforcing plate (15) which together with the web provides a sufficiently thick wall for a stable securing of the screw (13).
