Abstract: Backrests for vehicle seats are disclosed including a support attached to a frame including a plurality of resilient springs and a corresponding plurality of stroke limiters for permitting the resilient springs to move through a predetermined stroke and absorb a load within a first load range and limiting further stroke of the resilient springs within a second load range, one of the resilient springs and the stroke limiters including a fastener for attachment to the frame and one of the resilient springs and stroke limiters including a second fastener for attachment to the support.

Abstract: Ironing, drawing and/or other non chip-producing process is used to form a metal workpiece into an article which is then coated with a protective layer. The lubricating agents used in the non-chip-producing process are removed from the surfaces of the formed article in conjunction with the coating of the article with the protective layer. This is done by dissolving the lubricating agents in the liquid which is used in the application of the protective layer and which contains one or more bonding agents which form the protective layer after the treatment is complete. In one preferred embodiment, at least that protective layer which is closest to the material of the container is applied by electrolytic deposition.

Abstract: An instrument for indicating anomalies in human tissue comprises first and second light emitters. The first light emitter comprises a tungsten filament which transilluminates the tissue and visually indicates any anomalies therein. The second light emitter emits a light of higher intensity than the light from the first emitter. The second emitter is actuated while the tissue is being transilluminated by the first light emitter to make an exposure on infrared sensitive film located at an opposite side of the tissue.
