  • Patent number: 11703419
Abstract: A condensate discharge system for an exhaust gas measuring device. The condensate discharge system includes a condensate separator in which a positive pressure prevails, an outflow line in which atmospheric pressure prevails, a connecting line, and an intermediate reservoir in which the positive pressure prevails. The intermediate reservoir is arranged between the condensate separator and the outflow line and is directly connected to the condensate separator via the connecting line. The intermediate reservoir includes a float valve via which a condensate is dischargeable into the outflow line.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 3, 2017
Date of Patent: July 18, 2023
Assignee: AVL EMISSION TEST SYSTEMS GMBH
    Inventors: Dirk Woiki, Torsten Bornemann
  • Patent number: 11305211
Abstract: A condensate separator for an exhaust gas measuring system. The condensate separator includes a housing with condensate discharge opening, an inlet opening arranged in the housing, a cooled inlet line which introduces a fluid into the housing, and a gas outlet port with a gas entrance and a gas exit. The cooled inlet line opens into the inlet opening. The gas outlet port opens into a gas outlet line. A cross-sectional area of the gas entrance of the gas outlet port is larger than a cross-sectional area of the gas exit of the gas outlet port.

  • Patent number: 6282944
Abstract: Apparatus and process for the analysis of exhaust gas components in which the exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine is supplied to a sample gas line connected to at least one sample bag connected to a gas composition analyzer. The sample bag is contained in a gas-tight and pressure-resistant container, which is connected to a vacuum source to maintain a specified vacuum in the container thereby to apply the vacuum to the sample bag during the time interval in which exhaust gas measurements are being conducted.
