Therefore, a sterile food arrangement is made available without the need for final autoclaving of the entire filled receptacle.

    Abstract: A sealing cap for a container for holding a medical liquid includes a cap body and a connection device having a sealing element arranged on the cap body. The sealing element is arranged at the opening and is retained in the cap body in a clamped manner by a, preferably annular, flanged rim. The connection device has a break-off piece, which is firmly connected to the cap body and covers an outer face of the sealing element in the outward direction. The break-off piece is integral with the cap body, is connected to the cap body by a predetermined breaking point where the break-off piece can be detached from the cap body. The sealing element outer face is substantially flat and is accessible for wiping to provide a sealing cap having a sealing element arranged that can be simply and reliably disinfected.
