Abstract: The invention relates to a hinge housing constructed as a push-in cup which can be installed countersunk in an opening in the inner face of the wall of a door leaf of a piece of furniture formed in the installation region from thin-walled metal, wherein the hinge housing has a cup part produced from metal and has projecting integrally from its upper edge a fixing flange which in the properly installed position on the door leaf covers the region of the inner face of the door leaf adjoining the opening in the door leaf and wherein the hinge housing has a liner plate which is disposed between the fixing flange and the inner face of the door leaf, has a corresponding opening for the cup part to pass through in the region of the opening in the door leaf and can be fixed together with the hinge housing on the inner face of the door leaf.
