  • Publication number: 20250305749
Abstract: A method for controlling a refrigeration appliance includes providing storage compartments each assigned a desired temperature and a temperature sensor measuring an actual temperature of the storage compartment. A main storage compartment is determined by maximum heat intake of all storage compartments. First auxiliary storage compartments are cooled simultaneously with the main storage compartment. A refrigerant circuit has a compressor with adjustable conveying capacity, a condenser, and at least one evaporator. A control unit has a closed-loop controller for closed-loop control of conveying capacity. Each storage compartment is allocated switch-on and switch-off temperatures in addition to the desired temperature. The refrigerant circuit has actuators guiding refrigerant and/or an air circuit has actuators guiding cold air. A refrigeration requirement for each storage compartment is checked.

  • Publication number: 20230266047
Abstract: A domestic refrigerator has at least one refrigerated cabinet, to which a frost-free evaporator, which can be cooled under control, and a fan, which can be driven independently therefrom, are assigned and which is separated from a freezer compartment by a partition. A control method includes an evaporator cooling phase to cool the frost-free evaporator, which comprises phase the fan is switched off. The refrigerator has a control device, which is designed to cool the frost-free evaporator and to operate the fan. The control device is further configured to run an evaporator cooling phase for cooling the frost-free evaporator when the fan is switched off. The method is particularly advantageous for side-by-side refrigerators.

  • Publication number: 20220026128
Abstract: A method initializes a defrosting operation in a refrigeration appliance having a speed-controlled compressor. The method includes the steps of: a) starting up the compressor at a speed set to an initial value, b) adjusting the speed of the compressor in order to prevent a temperature in a storage chamber of the refrigeration appliance from deviating from a target temperature, c) monitoring a deviation between an adjusted speed and the initial value, and d) deciding that defrosting is necessary if the deviation exceeds a limit value.

  • Patent number: 10371434
Abstract: A no-frost refrigeration device includes a forced-air evaporator in an evaporator compartment. At least a first component of the evaporator separates an upstream sector and a downstream sector of the evaporator compartment from one another. One of the two sectors of the evaporator compartment contains an accumulation zone that is fluidically parallel and adjacent to a second component of the evaporator and is cooled by the second component of the evaporator.
