  • Patent number: 5593127
Abstract: The present device relates to an ice guard (2) for facilitating the breaking-up of ice formations in conjunction with the use of turntables (1), and for protecting mechanical parts of an apparatus platform (4) from mechanical stresses, the platform being able to be tilted selectively in relation to a supportive surface (3). The ice guard (2) functions to protect mechanical parts of the apparatus platform from ice formations, among other things. The ice guard is comprised of a bellows structure (23) which surrounds mechanical parts of the apparatus platform (4) from the supportive surface (3) up to the apparatus platform (4). One end of the bellows structure (23) is firmly attached to the supportive surface (3) and the other end of the bellows structure extends up to the apparatus platform (4). In a first instance, in which the apparatus platform (4) is non-rotatable, the ice guard (2) includes a cover plate (19) to which the aforesaid other end of the bellows structure (23) is attached.

  • Patent number: 4626866
Abstract: Collapsible aerial including bar-like base structure with aerial rods (2) rigidly attached thereto. The base structure comprises bars (1) which are connected in pairs to each other by a longitudinal joint (5), the bars associated with different pairs (3,4) being connected by transverse joints (6). In the operational position of the aerial the pivotal axes of the longitudinal joints (5) coincide, and the transverse joints (6) have separate pivotal axes. When a locking device (7) is released, the aerial rods (2) may be pivoted about the longitudinal joints (5) into a partially collapsed position, with the aerial rods on one side of the structure. The pivotal axes of the transverse hinges (6) then coincide so that the aerial rods can be swung about these axes to an entirely collapsed position in which the aerial rods (2) on the different bar pairs (3,4) cross over each other.

  • Patent number: 4575039
Abstract: In an apparatus for positioning the plane (33) of an apparatus table (8) at an optional inclination there are included two rotatable, wedge-shaped housings (4, 6), adapted for giving the plane (33) the selected inclination in a combination of angular rotations. For avoiding a point of singularity within the positioning range for the inclination, an angularity is introduced between the uppermost of the housings (6) and the plane (33).

  • Patent number: 4181198
Abstract: An energy absorber, especially for motor vehicles for e.g. supporting the vehicle bumper, comprises at least two telescopically displaceable tubular members having a common center axis. At least a portion of the length of the outer member has a smaller inner diameter than the outer diameter of at least a portion of the inner member. The two tubular members are designed so that telescopic displacement of the members causes deformation by means of shrinkage of the inner member, while two successive closely spaced bending zones, facing each other, are formed in the material in the inner member. The outer member has an end portion whose inner diameter is equal to the outer diameter of the inner member. The length of said end portion is at least equal to the inner diameter of said outer member.
