    Abstract: A method for producing a printed and embossed deep-drawn lid of aluminum that is circular in plan view. The method comprises: (a) printing an aluminum plate with at least one of a varnish and a paint; (b) cutting the aluminum plate; (c) deep drawing; (d) embossing; and (e) optionally, edge rolling. Steps (b), (c), (d) and optionally (e) are carried out with a single tool. A lid obtainable by this method is also disclosed.
