  • Publication number: 20210329103
Abstract: A system for transmitting time-critical analog signals and/or digital signals between a first device and a second device. The system includes at least a first protocol converter connected to the first device and at least a second protocol converter connected to the second device. A data transmission network for transmission of data packets is provided between the protocol converters. The data transmission network is established by an internet protocol network. The system includes a port redirector associated with at least one of the protocol converters. The port redirector is configured to convert a protocol for serial data transfer into the transmission control protocol, thereby generating the data packets, or to convert the transmission control protocol associated with the data packets into a protocol for serial data transfer. The system is configured to process asynchronous data and synchronous data. Further, a method of transmitting time-critical analog signals and/or digital signals is provided.

  • Patent number: 8976847
Abstract: A communications system provides a first communications device, which is connected via a bidirectional transmission channel to a second communications device, wherein the communications devices each comprise a data reconstruction unit. Each communications device comprises a control unit, which is provided for a configuration of various transmission parameters such as modulation type and/or code rate and/or transmitter power and/or size of data packets dependent upon a reliability value evaluated within the control unit. The reliability value indicates a probability for a reliability or a quality of a data reconstruction, which reconstructs transmitted data from received signals within the data reconstruction unit.

  • Patent number: 8270341
Abstract: A method for multi-hop data transmission in an ad-hoc network comprising concealed nodes. A source node determines the probability of a collision-free transmission of data to the following nodes and if a high probability of collision-free transmission is present, transmits a data packet to a following node without coordinating transmission-channel allocation with concealed nodes disposed in the vicinity of the next node.

  • Patent number: 8085797
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and system for addressing and routing in coded communications relationships in at least two different network levels of a network with different routing levels, which are separated from one another. A first network level with the associated first routing level is demarcated from a second network level with a second routing level via at least one coding device. A network topology of both network levels is determined independently of one another in the at least two routing levels and stored respectively in routing tables. An interface in the at least one coding device is provided with an unambiguous allocation of addresses of the second routing level to addresses of the first routing level, in order to derive the topology of the second network level efficiently from the first network level.

  • Publication number: 20090175170
Abstract: In a method for multi-hop data transmission in an ad-hoc network comprising concealed nodes, one node with transmission intent determines the probability of a collision-free transmission of data to the following nodes and if a high probability of collision-free transmission of data, transmits a user data packet to said following node, without co-ordinating the detection of the following node with the concealed nodes located in the vicinity of the following node in relation to the transmission of data to said following node.

  • Publication number: 20080304480
Abstract: A method and switch for determining the routing direction of Ethernet frames in order to route them to a destination, e.g. a computer, by means of Ethernet switches, according to which a frame is received by a first switch are provided. The first switch determines that the source address of the frames is not a destination address that has been registered in the switch for the routing of frames. The source address is registered by the first switch as a new destination address for the routing of frames. The first switch then communicates the new destination address to a second Ethernet switch and when the destination address has been received, the second switch defines a routing direction for the frames to the new destination in the destination address.
