  • Patent number: 10639474
Abstract: According to an embodiment, a hearing aid system is disclosed. The system includes a speech processor communicatively coupled to a microphone. The speech processor is configured to process a microphone signal received at the speech processor for producing an electrical stimulation signal and an acoustic stimulation signal. The speech processor is also configured to generate a modified acoustic stimulation signal by modifying the acoustic stimulation signal at least for a part of a residual frequency range of a patient in dependence on effect of an implantable electrode array on mechanical properties of cochlea of the patient. The system also includes a first unit and a second unit.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 11, 2017
Date of Patent: May 5, 2020
Assignees: OTICON MEDICAL A/S, UNIVERSITY COLLEGE LONDON
Inventors: Søren Kamaric Riis, Attila Frater, Torsten Marquardt

  • Patent number: 9584928
Abstract: The application relates to a bilateral hearing assistance system comprising first and second hearing assistance devices a processing unit, which in a NORMAL mode of operation processes an input audio signal based on configurable processing parameters and provides a processed electric stimulation signal. The system further includes one or more stimulation units for—in a TEST mode delivers first and second electric TEST stimulation signals to output units of said first and second devices respectively. The application further relates to a method of fitting a bilateral hearing assistance system to a particular user. The disclosure provides a measure allowing an improved fitting of bilaterally implanted Cochlear Implant users. The system further includes an evaluation unit configured to analyze the recorded physiological response of the user and to provide an objective measure of the user's perception of said TEST stimulation signals.

  • Publication number: 20030180564
Abstract: Described is a surface film 1 which is made from a cover film 2 and a base film 3 by calendering. Prior to the calendering operation a decorative layer is applied to the cover film 2. Particular advantages are achieved if the decorative layer 7 is applied by way of a film transfer process, for example by way of a hot embossing process, using a hot embossing film.
